- Which weapons, armor and sets you can use
Nioh 2 can be experienced in many different ways: From the broad-axe-wielding warrior in heavy armor, to the fast ninja in light armor, to the fireball-slinging mage. Or you can choose anything in between - the selection is gigantic.
In the following guide, we'll explain how to redistribute the points and give you some basic build ideas.
Nioh 2: Resetting points
Nioh 2 is a very long game with many different weapons, spells and ninjutsu skills. It is very inefficient to distribute the points equally among all the basic stats, so you should settle on a play style. If you want to try something new later on, that's no problem at all - base stats, skill and reputation points can be redistributed at any time!
Nioh 2: Resetting points - How can I re-skill?
Basic values: In order to reset the basic values, you must have unlocked the weaponsmith beforehand. You will find the blacksmith in the second main mission at a campfire and cannot be missed. Once you have completed the mission, you can access the Weaponsmith from the starting point.
The blacksmith sells the "Book of Reincarnation", which becomes more expensive every time you want to buy it. Once you've bought the book, you'll need to activate it in the "Items" menu item. This will reset your levels and allow you to re-distribute your points at each shrine.
Skill Points: Using the starting point, select the dojo. Now that you are in the dojo mission selection, press the "Triangle" button to reset the skill points. The reallocation of skill points is free of charge.
Reputation Points: In order for you to reset the reputation points, you must first unlock the "Hidden Teahouse", which you can also reach via the starting point. Once in the teahouse, you will need to purchase what is called the "Zen Manual." Use the manual like the Book of Reincarnation and your reputation points will be reset.

The builds presented are, of course, for guidance only and can be customized to your liking. For example, invest a few points in magic for the warrior or the swordsman to have access to the powerful sloth talisman or a weapon buff.
The same goes for Dexterity, of course, to round out your kit with some useful ninjutsu. You don't have to invest a ton of points in these stats to benefit from them.
The more you use magic and ninjutsu, the more skill points you'll gain in the associated skill tree. Thus, in addition to the active abilities, you'll gradually gain access to some very useful passive abilities that will give you a decisive advantage in combat.
