Cyberpunk 2077: Only Pain - Side Mission Solution

"Only Pain" - These are the prerequisites.

There is a lot to discover in Cyberpunk 2077 - especially off the beaten path. So it's always worth it not to bridge a distance via the fast travel system and to walk through the run-down side streets of the skylines. This is also how you come across an injured man in a suit, who is surrounded by three policemen. And they don't want to help him. Welcome to the side mission "Only Pain".

However, in order to get to this scenario at all, you need to have completed the main mission "Playing for Time". In addition, you should bring some powerful weapons, as one option leads to a fight with the lawmen.

How to complete the side mission

You will find the needy corporation owner in an alley east of Memorial Plaza. An icon for an unknown side mission will appear on your map. Mark it and then follow the path. You won't be able to miss it.

When you enter the corresponding place, you will see the three cops not so much playing the "friend and helper", but beating up the man. If you approach one of the cops, you will get two options to end the conflict. There is a third option only if you have taken the "street kid" route.

  • Option 1: Do not interfere and leave. The mission will be considered complete and will not be available to you for the rest of the game.
  • Option 2: You approach the policemen and ask questions. This escalates relatively quickly and you find yourself in a fight with the lawmen. Since the alley offers little room for sophisticated maneuvers, you should carry effective and powerful weapons. Grenades are also very helpful. You can also skip the dialogue and attack one of the policemen right at the beginning.
  • Option 3 (Optional): If you have taken the life path of a street urchin, you will get a third and most importantly non-violent option. If you answer with "Friend and helper - my ass" and then with "Leave him to me", the cops will disappear and you can talk to the man in peace.

Only if you are well equipped, you should threaten the cops

The suit introduces himself as Nigel Hamilton. As is typical for the corporation, he doesn't immediately offer a fat reward for his rescue. But if your coolness value is high enough, you can claim it. You can even double this amount if your constitution attribute is high enough. Very lucrative for five minutes of work.
