What are the Lorbs and why do you need them?

These orbs contain the knowledge of the Lombaxes.

On the planet Savali you will meet a monk in the middle of the map, who is especially interested in the ancient knowledge of the Lombaxes. You can activate the optional side quest "Search for Lombax Knowledge" from him. To complete the quest, you must deliver a total of 12 Lorbs to him. Lorbs, probably an abbreviation for Lombax Orbs, are ancient artifacts. On them are audio logs about the travels of a special Lombax.

If you deliver a certain number of Lorbs to the monk, he will reward you with pieces of Wasteland equipment. For three lorbs you get the boots, for seven the torso and for twelve the helmet. If you have the complete wasteland set, you will take 20 percent less damage from attacks by native creatures.

The order in which you collect the lorbs is irrelevant for receiving the audio logs. You will always unlock them in the correct chronology. Some lorbs can be found in passing, others are well hidden. Our overview shows you where to find all artifacts.

Lorb #1

You can find the first Lorb near the monk. Look for a Lombax shrine near Mrs. Zurkon and hit the orb to get her knowledge.

Lorb #2

The second Lorb on Savali is located west of the first on a larger stone pillar. To get there, you'll need to jump your hoverboats over a ramp nearby.

Lorb #3

The third Lorb in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is near the ramp that allows you to jump back to the island with your spaceship. The Lorb is located under an energy field. Follow the cable and flip the switches to turn off the energy field.

Lorb #4

You will discover the fourth Lorb at the westernmost tip of the large map. Before you can collect it, you must first flatten some of Nefarious' soldiers.

Lorb #5

Lombax orb number five is located in the northwest of the map. There you have to chase a floating platform. The platform always flies in circles. Pick up speed with your hover boots and cut turns to get closer to the platform. When you're close enough, you can pull yourself up with your grappling hook and collect the Lorb.

Lorb #6

You will come across the sixth Lorb in a cave in the northeast of the map. First kill the sand sharks and then treat yourself to the Lorb at the Lombax Shrine.

Lorb #7

Lorb number seven can be found in the east on the way to the jungle temple. Before you can get to it, however, you'll have to beat up a few sand sharks again.

Lorb #8

For the eighth Lorb in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which is located relatively centrally on the map, you have to get up high. It is located on a stone pillar, which you can reach via jump mushrooms and a dimensional crack.

Lorb #9

The ninth Lorb is waiting for you in the south of the main island. He appears between four pillars after you solve a "riddle". Always shoot at the pillar that is currently glowing red. Repeat this until all pillars glow blue. Then the shrine with the ninth Lorb will rise from the ground.

Lorb #10

For the tenth Lorb in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart you have to go to the marked position on the cliff in the south of the main island. The Lombax Orb is there in a small cave guarded by Savali Snatchers. Kill the monsters and grab the Lorb behind the crates.

Lorb #11

You can get to the eleventh Lorb by keeping east at the bridge leading to the Mountain Temple. You will come to a cliff where you will have to wallrun several platforms. Once on the other side, you can pick up the Lorb from the shrine.

Lorb #12

For the last Lorb, you'll need to make your way to the Mountain Temple. After you pass the broken wooden bridges, don't go left for the exam, but keep to the right. There you will find a stone arch. Go through it and you will come to a cliff. Directly opposite you will see a dimensional crack. Pull yourself over there and follow the small parkour. It will lead you directly to the last lorb.
