Need for Speed Heat offers an enormous choice of vehicles. In the game there are over 100 different cars from 33 different manufacturers. But let's be honest: How many cars do you really use actively? Maybe you have a handful of cars that you have customized for the different races. Or maybe you even have an all-rounder with which you compete in every race.

The fact is, you won 't be able to actively use all the cars you collect throughout the game. And so that the cars don't languish in your garage, you should quickly exchange them for cash. You can then use it to tune your favorite cars or save up for your dream car.

Need for Speed Heat: Selling the car - how to do it

Normally the races in Need for Speed Heat should always bring you enough money to buy tuning parts and new cars. But if you are short of money, it might be worthwhile to clean out your garage. Now we'll explain where and how you can sell cars in Need for Speed:

  • First of all, go to your garage. This is the only place where you can sell cars in the game.
  • By default, when you enter the garage, you'll end up in the "My Car" menu item. Use the respective key (PS4: L1, Xbox One: LB, PC: Q) to switch to the "Showcase" entry.
  • There you can see the cars of other players, with Square (PS4) or X (Xbox One/PC) you can switch to your own cars.
  • Now select the car you want to sell. On the PS4 you do this with X, on the Xbox One with A and on the PC with Enter.
  • Then go to the "Sell" entry and you will receive the money for the sale.

Except for your starter car, you can sell all cars in Need for Speed Heat. This limitation is to ensure that at least one car is always available to you.

Selling unused cars will add a little money to your tuning budget.

If you have already spent money on tuning a car before selling it, you might wonder what happens to the tuning parts when you sell it. Here we have a bad and a good news for you. The bad news first: The money you put into the optical tuning of your car is unfortunately gone. The visual improvements don't even increase the value of your car. Whether you sell a stock car or a car with customized body parts doesn't matter in Need for Speed Heat. The selling price remains the same.

But here's the good news: All tuning parts that affect the performance of your car will be removed from the car when you sell it and put into your inventory. You can then reinstall them on another car.
