Mafia: Definitive Edition Collectibles - All Locations

In this Collectibles-Guide for Mafia: Definitive Edition you will learn among other things:

  • Where to find all 20 Dime Detective magazines and all Black Mask magazines
  • Where to find the Super Science Stories and Terror Tales magazines
  • The locations of the Monthly Comics and the cigarette pictures

Lost Heaven, the setting of Mafia: Definitive Edition, is a rather manageable open world. Nevertheless, developer Hangar 13 Games managed to hide over 100 collectibles in it in a varied way.

Before you start searching, here's an important hint: You can find many collectibles only within the story missions. Therefore, concentrate on playing through the story first and collect them directly there.

Afterwards, you can search for the remaining objects in the game mode "Free ride" at your leisure. Already played through the story and missed objects? No problem. You can restart individual missions of Mafia: Definitive Edition () for PC, PS4 () and Xbox One () at any time via the chapter selection in the main menu.

All dime detective magazines in missions 3 to 7

  • Mission 3: "Molotov Party". Pay Vicenzo a visit. On a wooden table looking down into the garage is the December issue with the covers "Death Wears Red Heels" and "Calamity Lou."
  • Mission 4: "Normal Daily Routine." In Sector 2B of the map, you're supposed to get inside Clark's Motel. Before you do that, run around the building on the right towards some stacks of logs. In front of the one on the right is another stack of tied up boards. On top of it slumbers the issue with the cover story "Hayseed Homicide".

Collectibles are not displayed on the normal map. Only on the radar, which you see at the bottom right while playing.

  • Mission 5: "Fair Play". In the central area of the Autodrome (Sector 3A) you have to follow a guard who will lead you to a vehicle. In the area behind the garages there are empty stalls. On the back right one, you can already see a flashing object from a distance. This is the March issue with the title "Death Blows Out The Candles". Attention: If you run to it, you will leave the mission area for a short time. So be quick.
  • Mission 7: "Better Get Used to It". Tommy is supposed to find out where a gang is located in Chinatown (sector 3B). Once you arrive at Riff's junk store, go past the stuffed bear on the right and into the tiled passageway. On the right is a sofa with a white blanket over it. To the left of the center stack of boxes, you'll find the April issue with the covers "Happy Murder To You" and "Death Is From Hunger."

Dime Detective Magazine in Missions 8 to 10

  • Mission 8: "The Saint and the Sinner." After entering Hotel Corleone, keep to the right until you are in front of the concierge desk. Then run left through the "Empolyees only" door to get behind the concierge desk. Once there, you'll see an office back room with a rug on the floor and two desks. On the left is the September issue titled "Mexican Slayride."
  • At the end of the same mission you'll end up on the rooftops of the hotel. After fighting off the first wave of cops, you'll have to climb over a wall. Jump over the wall and you will discover a circular table with two chairs. On top of it, the developers from Hangar 13 Games have placed the next issue of Dime Detective magazine. Cover story: "The Lady's From Hades".

The easiest way to find the Dime Detective Magazine is to play through the 20 story missions.

  • At the end of Mission 8, you'll find yourself in St. Michael's Cathedral, where you'll have to kill Johnny. Face the main altar coming from the nave. Then turn left and you will see another, much smaller altar with a picture of Christ. To the left of it you will find what you are looking for. The loot: the "Live and Let Die" March issue.
  • Mission 9: "A Trip to the Countryside". On an abandoned farm you have to find Sam. Enter the large, centrally located barn and look for a side room with two doors. On the lower level of the wooden shelf placed there, grab the November issue titled "Weather Fair - Track Bloody".

  • Mission 14: "Happy Birthday." In St. Peter's Docks you are supposed to find Sam. First, go to the porch of the centered house near the dock. Look for a table with a vase of flowers, an ashtray and two bottles, and the February issue titled "Please Pass the Poison" will soon be in your inventory.
  • Mission 14 will also take you to the upper deck of a paddle steamer later on. Before you take position at the lookout point, visit the area behind the captain's deck and look for three wooden barrels. On the crate next to them is the next issue of Dime Detective with the inscription "You Can Die Any Day".
  • Mission 15: "Goddamn Lucky". While Tommy and his team hunt Sergio south of downtown (Sector 4C), they fight their way through a stylish diner, among other places. On the table in the middle of the diner near the bar is the April issue with the cover story "A Horse of Another Killer."

  • Later in the same mission you will reach the metal entrance door of the watchtower with a green marker to the right of it. Behind it on the right is the May issue including the cover story "Sealed With a Kris".
  • Mission 18: "Just to Relax". In the warehouse of the customs authority - the Federal Customs Impound - you are to look for a cigar delivery. Terror Tales Magazine Locations in the Story Missions

Just like some of the Super Science Stories, some of the Terror Tales magazines can only be found within the main missions:

  • You can find the first magazine of this category in the mission "A Trip to the Countryside". In the last part of the 9th mission, there is a shootout in a barn towards the end, during which you'll haveto defendSam. On the floor below Sam's position there are heaps of barrels stored. On the crate to the left, issue 20 of "All These Must Die!" is hidden.

The cover motifs of the Terror Tales issues are sometimes quite macabre.

  • While searching for Little Tony in Mission 10, you'll come across a dimly lit bar. On the counter near the bartender's position, someone has left issue 18: "Mistress of the Dark Pool".
  • In mission 12 you have to turn off the sprinkler system in a parking garage. Fight your way into the room with the valve. On a table with a lamp and an ashtray you will find issue 16 titled "Madman's Country".
  • After taking out your target in mission 17 ("Election Campaign") and falling into the depths, go through the cell wing ahead of you. At the end of the hallway is a small, barred office room with the lights still on. On the desk is the November issue of My Sweetheart of Death.
  • Shortly before Sam gets his ass kicked in Mission 20, you'll enter a room with a sculpture in the middle and a huge globe near a window. There are also two desks in this area of the room. On the one in the back is issue 17, The Corpses Wedding.

Terror Tales Magazine on the East of the Map (Free Ride Mode)

  • At the easternmost edge of Beach Hill is an opulent mansion with a barred driveway. To the right of it are two garages and three trash cans. Right there you'll pick up the next find: Issue 9 - "Satan's Love Bazaar".

  • In the Holbrook district, there is a point on the map where the light rail tracks (dark blue line) fork. Go to this crossing, look south and you will see the house of the "Finest Products Supplies Company" and a wooden shed in front of it. Jump through the window of the shed. On a mattress is Issue 11 - "Mistress of Satan's Hounds."

In front of the one in the back is the July/August issue of Slaves For The Wine Goddess.

Terror Tales Magazine in the West of the Map (Free Ride Mode)

  • In the south of Works Quarter, the tramway runs past a dock (Sector 4B on the map) at one point. Mafia: Definitive Edition - Cigarette Pictures from Missions 3 to 7

The 22 cigarette pictures are among the most interesting finds, especially since they reveal more details about characters from Mafia Trilogy () on the back. So it's no wonder that 17 of them are hidden in the story mode. The rest are available in free-ride mode, as usual.

  • In mission 5 you should find Frank Coletti. On the way to his location in Hangar 5, you'll pass by several buildings in the south of the airport area. One of them looks like a T-block from Tetris. Once you cross this building to the west, keep to the right until you see a metal fence.
