Agony: Tips for the horror game on PS4, PC & Xbox One

Tips for Agony

  • Save and refill your fate line at so-called soul mirrors. These work like checkpoints. You can recognize them by a blue-purple glow and by the fact that a head and many hands are sticking out of a wall.
  • Get access to shortcuts by looking out for destructible elements in each Agony game environment.
  • To avoid being discovered by the creatures of hell, use hiding places and also hold your breath.
  • If demons & co. should be on your heels, throw torches to divert the attention of these unpleasant contemporaries away from you.
  • The eerie creatures are attracted to light, so it's better to do without torches if you can.
  • Especially at the beginning of the game, take your legs in your hands if demons & co. have discovered you or take cover as a precaution. Otherwise, they'll knock you down immediately when you take your first steps in hell and they get their claws into you.
  • Get rid of the martyrs' pouches, because that's the only way you can gain control over them in Agony.

  • Your progress in the horror game's story mode will gradually enable you to take over demons automatically. So don't worry, you can't miss this skill at all.
  • If you get lost in the depths of hell, trust in the so-called "DestinyLine", which will show you the right way. However, use it wisely - it is a limited resource.
  • Collect "Apples of Knowledge" to get more skill points in Agony.
  • Also collect statuettes or pictures to unlock content in the game's gallery.
  • To unlock another environment calledFrozenCaves for Agony mode, complete the third level in single-player mode.
  • After you have survived the horror trip, you can discover secrets like hidden rooms in Agony thanks to the "SoulVision".

Agony will be released on May 29, 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Other upcoming horror titles in 2018 include the bloodsucking role-playing game Vampyr and the Silent Hills consolation patch called Visage.
