FIFA 19: Cheap FUT players for your team

It doesn't always have to be expensive, this is also true for FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are outstanding soccer players, but they cost way too many coins. Prices beyond a million coins are due for the two stars.

However, hardly any player can pay such sums, especially a few months after release. As a result, you have to look around for cheaper FUT players. If you are not yet familiar with the popular FUT mode of FIFA 19, then check out our beginner's guide.

Ronaldo - a walkout in FIFA 18, but quite expensive on the transfer market.

What are "OP FUT cards"?

The happy news up front: In FUT there are numerous players who are many times better than their price would suggest. The very best from this category are called OP (=OverPowered) in the community.

Accordingly, they are popular in their own team and hated by the opposing team. If you are looking for a cheap but still strong team in FIFA 19, they are exactly the right thing for you.

Also looking for talents for the career mode? Then we recommend the ten players with the highest potential.

Defensive monster Eric Bailly

An old acquaintance from FIFA 18, who also shines in FIFA 19, is Eric Bailly. The Manchester United central defender is the number one cheap OP defender. Even a top-class player like Sergio Ramos is hardly better.

Bailly is more popular than almost any other central defender in FIFA 19.

And yet the Spaniard has a 91 overall rating, while Bailly's is just 82. However, the man from the Ivory Coast brings exactly the values that are extremely important for a central defender in FIFA Ultimate Team.

Bailly has a 74 pace and 82 in defense as well as physicality. He is also 1.87 meters tall and has a high defensive work rate. So there are no weak points with him.

The best argument, however, is his price: the defensive monster can be had for just under 4,500 coins on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in FUT in FIFA 19 (as of October 29).

Offensive wonder Memphis Depay

From defense to offense: FUT also has a few OP players to offer here. The selection is even bigger: Rodrigo, Wilfried Zaha and Jamie Vardy are all extremely good for their comparatively low price. But one player stands out even from this pool: Memphis Depay.

Fast and sure on the dribble is the Dutchman Depay.

The Dutchman plays in the French Ligue 1 as a striker for Olympique Lyon and has an 83 overall rating. 88 pace, as well as his five-star special moves, set him apart and are his greatest strengths.

So the Dutchman is a real trickster, which matches his high dribble rating (83). Even shooting (81) and physicality (79) are at a solid level, making him a surprisingly well-rounded player - especially for his price in FIFA Ultimate Team.

The striker costs (as of October 29) around 4,500 coins on both consoles. Only the four stars weak foot are missing, then Depay would already be on the level of a nearly 300,000 coins more expensive Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

All-rounder Allan

Allan stands out among the midfielders in FUT, and the good thing is that you only have to pay 1,000 coins for the Brazilian (as of October 29). All of his stats are between 75 and 82, which is essential for a midfield all-rounder.

There is one exception, however - the shot. 66 points radiate anything but scoring danger. This weakness is hardly noticeable, however, when you consider his other stats. The strengths of the central midfielder are more in the area of defensive protection anyway. With his defense (82) and physicality (80), he can stop any forward.

Allan is a true all-rounder.

Goalkeepers a dime a dozen

For the sake of completeness, we also want to introduce you to a cheap, but still strong, goalkeeper. Fortunately there are many of them in FIFA Ultimate Team: Bernd Leno, Wojciech Szczesny, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Kasper Schmeichel - the list goes on and on.

In principle, you have a free choice here. One of our tips is Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose reflexes (88) and saves (88) are only surpassed by four other goalkeepers in FIFA 19. Nevertheless, the Italian costs (as of October 29) just 850 coins.

A tip for the goal: Gianluigi Donnarumma.
