Rage 2: All 12 Ark locations

In this guide to the arks inverraten we you:

• where you can find the arks on the map
• which weapons and abilities you get in the respective arks
• which difficulty level the arks have

In Rage 2 you can find new weapons and nanotrite abilities in the so-called Arks, which are spread all over the map. You can find a few of the arks in story missions, but you have to find 12 arks on your own in the game world.

We'll save you the trouble of searching and tell you where on the map you can find the arks and what new weapons and nanotrites abilities they have in store for you.

1. Junker Pass Ark Find

The Junker Pass Ark can be found in the Winding Canyons at the end of a bandit camp, which you must clear of enemies before entering the Ark. In the Ark, you'll gain the Nanotrite ability "Shatter", which allows you to fling enemies back in melee combat, destroying their armor.

2. Quake Hill Ark Location

Also in the winding canyons you will find the Quake Hill Ark. However, it is hidden underground in a large, gray factory building. Just keep to the sea and thus the edge of the map. The factory, located on a cliff, is hard to miss.

You'll get the nanotrite ability "Vortex" in the Quake Hill Ark , which creates a small crack that draws enemies in, lifts them into the air, and deals damage to them.

3. Large Rift Ark Find

You will find the Great Rift Ark - like the Junker Pass Ark - at the end of a camp full of enemies. There, the Nanotrite ability "Grav Jump" awaits you, allowing you to make double jumps. Since the Grav Jump makes it much easier for you to advance in the game world, you should visit this ark as early as possible in the game.

4. Earth Scar Ark Location

In Ragged Prairie, the Earth Scar Ark is located in a rundown village on a hill. This makes it very easy to see. Once you have eliminated the enemies in front of the Ark, you will receive the Slam there. This nanotrite ability lets you ram your fist into the ground in Rage 2 to knock enemies back and damage them.

5. Strongbox Ark Location

The Strongbox Ark is found at the end of a town embedded in the mountain, making it easy to miss. However, since it gives you one of the most powerful weapons in Rage 2 - the Smart Missile Launcher - you should definitely find the Ark. The Smart Missile Launcher is essential against the big enemies - like the Cyber Crushers.

You will also need the Smart Missile Launcher to unlock all Trophies and Achievements in Rage 2.

6. Canyon Cove Ark Location

Enclosed by a mountain range in the quarry area is the Canyon Cove Ark. There you will find the nanotrite ability "Defibrillation". This gives you a second life, so to speak. If you should die, you have the possibility to save yourself with a quicktime event and thus come back to life with a small amount of life energy.

7. Shrouded Vault Ark location

In Dune Lake, located inside a factory, you will find the Shrouded Vault Ark. However, the entrance to the factory building is locked. To open the entrance, you must destroy two reactors. To do so, follow the two red-colored pipes leading away from the factory. At the end of each pipe you will come across a guarded factory building with a reactor inside. Once you have destroyed both reactors, you can go back and enter the Shrouded Vault Ark.

There you'll get the Pulse Gun, which fires lightning-fast energy bullets at your enemies like a Gatling gun. But be careful, the weapon overheats very quickly.

8. Dealypipe Ark Location

The Dealypipe Ark can be found in the Sekreto March in the city area between the crumbling skyscrapers. Inside the ark you will get the probably weakest nanotrite ability in- the sprint. This lets you sprint a bit faster with another press of the sprint button.

9. Spikewind Ark Location

A strong mech guards the Spikewind Ark in the Quarry Area, so you should first visit this Ark with the Smart Missile Launcher from the Strongbox Ark. Once you've defeated the mech, you'll receive the Barrier nanotrite ability in the Ark. This is a placeable shield that keeps out a certain amount of damage.

10. Damp Catacomb Ark Location

Another ark in the Sekreto March is the Moist Catacomb Ark. It is located in a village at the end of a road, so it can be seen from a distance.

The firestorm revolver you'll find there is not only very fun, but also extremely handy. By pressing the Aim button, you don't switch to rear and front sights, but you let the bullets you just shot - and thus your enemies - burst into flames.

11. Needle Falls Ark Location

In the middle of the wilderness above a waterfall, the Needle Falls Ark is hard to miss. In front of the ark you will have to deal with enemies of the authorities. Two of them are a bit tougher, as they are protected by shields. But the fight is worth it, because in the ark you will find the craziest weapon in Rage 2 - the Grav Arrow Launcher.

With this gravitational weapon you can hurl enemies and objects through the air and make them crash against each other.

12. Greenhaven Ark Location

The difficulty level 10 out of 10 is given for the Greenhaven Ark for a reason. In front of the ark a huge Cyber Crusher of the authorities is waiting for you. You should only face it well equipped. Smart missile launcher and impulse cannon are recommended for the fight.

If you survive the Cyber Crusher, you will receive the Hyper Cannon in the Greenhaven Ark. Its charged shots cause great damage and penetrate several enemies.
