Assassin''s Creed: Origins - Overview of all weapons & shields
Assassin's Creed: Origins borrows a lot of elements from role-playing games such as The Witcher 3, so you can equip your hero Bayek with a lot of skills. We'll explain which ones are useful in our detailed guide to the ten best skills you should definitely have up your sleeve.
But not only the hero himself can be developed according to your whim, the choice of weapons also has a considerable influence on the success of the assassin. It's up to you whether you use the weapons from the Anubis trial, which were available in the Trial of the Gods, or the blades and bows that you can find in the world.
Everything there is to know about shields & weapons
Therefore, we want to give you an overview of all weapons, shields and bows that are available in the game. Diligent fans of Assassin's Creed: Origins have compiled an extensive list on Reddit, which we have prepared for you below.
The damage values are flexible and depend on the quality level of the weapon, which in turn can be increased and is initially based on your experience level. However, the characteristics of the weapons remain the same.
In addition, this is a list with the English names of the weapons. As soon as the German names are available, we will add them, but many of the proper names are comparable in the German version. It is also possible that some weapons or shields are missing, which we will also add accordingly.

Double swords
If you equip Bayek with double swords, then the Assassin will have two blades in his hand at the same time. The attacks with them are very fast, but you have to get close to the enemy and can't use a shield for protection. On the other hand, the double swords in Assassin's Creed: Origins always bring a bonus to the adrenaline regeneration.

Swords
The regular sword is the standard weapon in ancient Egypt of Assassin's Creed: Origins, and it's one of the most common weapons you'll encounter among your opponents. Bayek wields it one-handed, so you can additionally equip a shield and thus not only dodge attacks, but also be able to block them.

Sickle Swords
The Sickle Swords are similar to the normal swords, so you can carry a shield in addition to the weapon. However, the sickle swords have a decisive advantage: they cause bleeding on the opponent. Thus, your opponents will lose life energy over a certain period of time in Assassin's Creed: Origins, even if you don't pay attention to them.

Hunting Bow
Hunting bows bring a particularly practical advantage to ranged weapons, namely the increased reload speed (the light bows are excluded here). So you can deal out a lot of damage with them and still get ready for the next shot quickly in Assassin's Creed: Origins.

War Bow
The war bows are the shotguns of the ancient world of Assassin's Creed: Origins, because they shoot multiple arrows at once. This is handy for dealing as much damage as possible, but at long range these bows are useless.

While the war bows are best compared to a shotgun, the light bows are probably most similar to a submachine gun. They allow you to shoot many arrows in a short amount of time in Assassin's Creed: Origins, but they aren't designed for long ranges either.

Shields
If you equip Bayek with a one-handed weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, then you should definitely combine it with a shield. With them, you don't always have to dodge every attack, but you can also block and thus keep your opponent off balance.
