Is there crossplay and crossprogression in CoD Warzone?

Yes, Call of Duty Warzone offers crossplay and crossprogression across all available platforms. So you can switch between PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S at will.

Enable and disable crossplay in Warzone - here's how

Open the options in CoD Warzone and switch to the "Account" tab. The very first option lets you enable or disable crossplay. If crossplay is deactivated, you will only play against players on your platform.

Below that, you can set the crossplay communication. If you enable it, you can use voice and text chat with players on other platforms. If you deactivate crossplay communication, you can only chat with players on the same platform.

How do I add friends from other platforms?

Once you are in the main menu of Warzone, access the social menu in the upper right corner (triangle button on PlayStation, Y button on Xbox) and select "Add Friends". Make sure "Activision account" is set in "Search friends with".

Now enter the friend's Activision ID here (e.g. player name#1234) and send the invitation. Your own Activision ID will be displayed in the top right corner of the main menu.

Note: If you have an older Activision account, you may not have a hashtag or numbers after your name.

How do I start a cross-platform party in Call of Duty Warzone?

In order to use the in-game voice chat with friends from other platforms, you will need to start a shared party:

  • Open the social menu (triangle button on PlayStation, Y button on Xbox)
  • Select the second tab "Party
  • Select "Quick Invite" and click on the friend you want to invite to the party

How does crossprogression work in Warzone?

Your game progress is automatically saved through your Activision account. Once you log in on another platform with your Activision account, you will have access to all of your earned progress.

Only CP (Call of Duty points) can only be spent on the platform you bought them on. They will not be transferred to other platforms. However, you can use the items and skins you bought with them on any platform.

Thanks to crossplay, you can play together with friends from all platforms.
