Elex: Faction Guide to Berserkers, Clerics and Outlaws

Factions are very important in Elex. Almost everyone we meet in Elex belongs to one. Who wouldn't want to become a member of the Clerics, Berserks or Outlaws? However, since we have to find the faction camps in the post-apocalyptic world first, then enter them, and then convince the members to join us, joining them is not done in one afternoon.

That's why we'll show you how to join the factions in our video guide. And to make sure your efforts are not in vain, we also reveal which faction is best suited for which type of player.

Do I have to choose a faction?

Once you've joined a faction, you can't change your mind. Like many things in the world, joining a faction has far-reaching consequences. The enemies of the faction will no longer approach you with quests or try to kill you right away. On the other hand, it's easier to get the weapons, armor and items typical for each faction.

Nevertheless, or fortunately, you don't have to decide on a faction right away, as we already recommend in our 12 beginner's tips for Elex. We would even recommend that you wait to join and get to know Magalan and the factions first. Then you can decide which faction appeals to you the most.

Elex - Mutated Beast

Berserker, Cleric or Outlaw?

In addition, you are simply too weak at the beginning. If already mutated rats eat your face off in one swoop, how are you going to help a merchant outside the cleric city get his goods back from far nastier beasts? None of the factions are interested in such a pathetic sausage as we are at the beginning.

That's why we advise: Take your time, look for better weapons and think carefully about which character stats and abilities you want to use. Get as strong as you can, think about who you like best, and then decide. Also helpful here are the 41 teleporters in the game world of Elex, so you can quickly travel between camps.

You may find that you prefer to fight with the Outlaws' grenades. Or the Elex-enhanced weapons of the Clerics. Or maybe Magellan seems so parched and desolate that you want to green it up with the Berserkers.

The choice is yours. But if you still want to know in advance who suits you or who you definitely don't want to piss off, you can find out in our video.
