Anthem: Find all secret locations

In Bioware and EA's new loot shooter Anthem, there is not only a lot of loot to pick up while you race through the landscape with your Javelins. The world of Anthem also holds numerous secrets for you. Read our guide to the secret locations in Anthem:

Where to find them

In Bastion, the game world of Anthem, there are ten regions that you explore during the course of the game. In these regions, you'll find vantage points, but also landmarks that you can use as clues for orientation.

Additionally, each region also offers one or more hidden locations that you should at least uncover. Each uncovered point on the map will bring you closer to completing the corresponding achievement. Apart from that, you'll also complete in-game challenges in parallel, for which you'll earn a decent amount of coins.

What are the secret places?

The somewhat cryptic name "secret places" hides a total of eleven small dungeons in Anthem, which are separated from the normal game world by a loading screen. By the way, to mark them on the map, you only need to fly past them - you don't have to shoot your way through them to have them marked with an archway symbol on your map.

In the dungeons you'll find enemies, of course, but you can also collect crafting materials. In addition, you'll occasionally find glowing runes on the wall, for which you'll earn arcanist loyalty points.

When you reach the end of the dungeon, you don't have to run back to the entrance. You'll find a portal marked with the archway symbol that will take you back into the open game world.

Academy Ruins: The Gorge

The entrance to this secret location is in a cave on the eastern border of the area. Under the ground you will have to deal with outlaws.

Fortress of the Dawn: The Dungeon

To find the dungeon, you must go around the fortress to the left fly around in the twilight. If you see a small tower standing by itself here, you're right: the entrance to the secret place is across the street and looks like another fortress entrance.

Main street

You'll find the entrance to the Bane Drive at the transition from Monument Guard to Main Street near the lookout point. To get to the secret place, however, you'll have to enter a structure at ground level that resembles a giant tube.

The entrance to the Mandible is in the huge Skar camp on the other side of the mountain, where The Gorge is also located. Here you'll also have to go all the way back down to the bottom to enter the dungeon.

East Route: The Shrine

You will find the entrance to the shrine in the southeast at the edge of the map. Here you will have to deal with outlaws underground.

East Gate: The Necropolis

If you want to enter the Necropolis, keep west at the East Gate until you come to a small cave entrance. It should be marked with the archway early enough for you not to miss it.

Ruins of Schattenmark

You can find the entrance to the Regent's Mine at ground level by flying further east at the Ruins of Schattenmark.

To find the entrance to the chamber, you first have to dive in the lake in front of the Regent Mine and swim along a long passage. When the light turns red, you are on the right path. Surface at the end of the passage and jump down a few stairs, and you'll be standing in front of the entrance.

The most impressive entrance by far is the "Refuge". To enter this secret place, you have to fly through a waterfall. Skar will then be waiting for you inside.

The entrance to the well is located directly south of the landmark "Wedged Key". You enter the area quite early in the main story and accordingly do not have to search for it.

Emerald Gulch: The Foundry

You don't have to search for the Foundry for long in the free game: You will already enter this small dungeon during normal gameplay in one of the last story missions. Of course, you can discover the game section beforehand: Just look for the tube entrance in the south of the rock massif in the middle of the area.
