Assassin''s Creed Valhalla: Find the tombs of the fallen

With the update 1.4.0 you will unlock a new activity in Assassin's Creed Valhalla: "The Tombs of the Fallen". This quest sends you through three hidden cave systems with lots of traps and puzzles. In this guide, we'll show you how to start the activity and where to find the cave locations.

These are the requirements for the Graves of the Fallen activity

Download update 1.4.0 for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. In order to find the hidden caves, you will need to fulfill two requirements: Reach Englaland during the main quest and build up the settlement of Hraefnathorp. You must also upgrade your village to settlement level 2.

How do I start the activity "Graves of the Fallen"?

On the southwestern shore of Hraefnathorp, there are residents watching the angry animals in the water. Talk to them and Raven Synin will show you the way. Cross the river and walk up the path. Follow the voices and you will reach a rock wall with a rune marker. Interact with it and a gate will open. Read the document on the right side of the entrance and go inside.

How do I find the locations of the Tombs of the Fallen?

Once you have entered Manius' Sanctuary, jump down the shaft into the hay. You can blow up the cracked wall with one of the oil vases standing on the scaffolding diagonally opposite. Behind it are three opals and some silver. Follow the corridor to the right until you reach a large room through a crevice covered with cobwebs.

Solve the riddle of the locked gate as follows:

  • Climb onto the wooden scaffolding, flip the switch and place the golden ball on the pressure plate with the circular cutout.
  • Destroy the wooden wall with an arrow and pull the sculpture behind it onto the second pressure plate.

Open the locked gate with a pressure plate puzzle.

Go through the gate and enter the hall. Take the zipline and read the letter stuck in the tree trunk below. Climb along the rock wall on the right to bag three opals on the wooden pallet at the end. Return and pick up the key to Manius' workshop to the right of the table with the large map. Examine the glowing field tablet. It corresponds to the map of England and, if you look closely, shows you four locations. Match it with your map and you will see the approximate locations of the graves.

You can find this reward in Manius' Shrine

Exit the hall with the stone tablet through the wooden door. In Manius' workshop you will find notes on the tables and walls, as well as some food and silver by the corpses. At the end, a chest with the Hero's Death Cloak awaits you. The entrance is secured by a trap. Sprint across the floor. If you are too slow, you will be impaled by spikes.
