Diablo 3: Season 17 - these changes await you

In this guide to the 17th Season of Diablo 3 you will learn, among other things:

On May 12, the 16th Diablo 3 Season will end. Shortly thereafter, the 17th Season will begin, which will also launch the new patch 2.6.5. This is the biggest patch in a long time and promises some interesting innovations.

1. Much sought-after buff also in Season 17

The bonus around the "Ring of Royal Splendor" in Season 16 was so well received by players that Blizzard extended it for two months. Many Diablo 3 players wished for a season theme with the buffs from "Legacy of Nightmares". Blizzard is finally fulfilling this wish with Season 17.

This means that as long as no set bonus is active, each equipped ancient item will increase the damage dealt to players by 750% and reduce the damage taken by 4%.

2. New challenges through higher skill levels

In the past, all class sets were regularly buffed. This made Qual 13, the highest difficulty level, simply too easy and hardly challenging after a short time at maximum level. Blizzard has now reacted to the wishes of the community and will introduce Qual levels 14, 15 and 16 with the upcoming patch.

Qual 16: 22222020% life, 81549% damage, 17000% more experience, 7000% more gold

3. Goblin portals offer more level variations

In Diablo's 17th Season, the portals are said to "sometimes take you to absolutely crazy places." Players' speculations went in the direction of the already existing cow and unicorn levels. Others thought that we would be given some completely new maps. On the PTR, it has at least been confirmed that goblin portals can lead to the cow level. Whether more levels will be accessible in this way is still open.

4. New portals through higher quality braided rings?

The use of ancient or archaic "braided rings" in "Kanai's Cube" will also bring a new result. As per a developer comment, using the higher quality rings should now feel more rewarding.

5. Diablo 3 spends new chests compartments along with a search function

6. Bounties are easier to locate
