Builds in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance: How character development works

In Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, you choose one of four characters. If you're in single-player mode, you can also switch characters during a run, as explained in our Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance tips guide. A mission consists of three acts, between which you'll always return to the base "Kelvin's Tomb".

There you can use the resources, experience, attribute and talent points you've earned to improve your character. Each character has its own combat options and talent tree. Talents give you bonuses to various attributes, and combat options let you learn new attack maneuvers in exchange for gold.

Drizzt Do'Urden: The Assassin

The dark elf and ranger Drizzt Do'Urden represents the Assassin class in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance. Drizzt has lightning-fast attack combos that deal medium and high damage. At the same time, he is very vulnerable, making him more suitable for experienced players. He is the most nimble of all the characters and can sprint in and out of combat quickly. Drizzt fights with two scimitars and his ultimate ability is summoning the Astral Companion. For a short time, Guenhwyvar randomly attacks enemies within a twenty meter radius.

Catti-Brie: The archer

Catti-Brie is the ranged specialist of the Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance builds. The human archer is the only character that deals high damage from a distance. The ranged weapons of all the other characters are mainly good for destroying hard-to-reach objects. Catti-brie is also the only healer in the game. Her ultimate ability is arcane arrows. The projectiles have a larger hit radius and pierce multiple enemies and objects in a straight line.

Wulfgar: The Barbarian

Wulfgar is the man for the rough stuff in Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance. The human barbarian penetrates armor with his heavy warhammer, staggers monsters, and has the largest hit radius. Wulfgar is best suited for beginners, as he deals a lot of damage with little effort and has high Constitution and Stamina stats. His ultimate ability, Wrath of Tempus, is a rage vortex that allows him to deal massive damage over a medium range.

Here you can unlock bonuses to physical damage, armor penetration or stamina damage.
