Farming Simulator 22: The best mods

Of course, Farming Simulator 22 can also be equipped with numerous mods to provide additional gaming fun. Whether it's new trucks, autonomous plow machines or fancy classic cars: The community delivers new content every hour. In this guide you will learn:

  • How to install mods on PC and console
  • Which mods are popular
  • How you can uninstall the mods again

Attention: The Stadia version of Farming Simulator 22 does not support mods!

Important note

Keep in mind that mods are always small add-ons that are integrated into the main game. If you search for them on the net, you will find numerous providers of mods, so it is even more important that you look carefully where you download them.

We recommend that you look at Giants Software directly on the Farming Simulator 22 page. The mods there are all tested and compatible with the game.

How to install mods in Farming Simulator 22

Installation on the PC

To be able to use mods, you need to install them first. Since the developers at Giants Software even provide small additional content themselves, adding them to Farming Simulator 22 isn't witchcraft either. For this content, as well as mods from other sites in the community, proceed as follows: Open the following path in Windows Explorer: This PC > Documents > My Games > FarmingSimulator2022

There you will find a folder namedmods. Drag the downloaded .zip file with the mod into it and then start Farming Simulator 22. Once you are in the main menu, navigate to "Downloadable Content" and check in the "Installed" tab if your mod is displayed. You can now load your last save game and continue.

Alternatively, you can simply use the in-game ModHub and download mods there - the selection is a bit more limited there, though.

Installation on the console

You can also install mods on the console, but the selection there is not quite as huge as for PC players. You only have access to the mods that are offered in the in-game ModHub from Giants Software. Select "Downloadable Content" from the menu and install whatever you feel like. However, keep in mind that not all mods are free.

With one or two mods, you can pimp your farm a bit in LWS22.

The best general mods

Mobile Workshop

  • Platforms: PC/Mac

Sometimes you just don't have the time to take your combine back to the barn and configure it there. Or maybe you just don't feel like it. This is where the mobile workshop comes into play. No matter where you are with your machine, all you have to do is press the N button press to make appropriate changes.

More gears

  • Platforms: PC/Mac

The standard eight gears on your machines aren't enough for you? With the More Gears mod, you can shift up to 18th gear using key mappings.

Sleep everywhere

  • Platforms: PC/Mac

Annoying: You're dog-tired, but you're at the complete opposite end of the yard without a vehicle. With the Sleep Every where mod, you can dive into the land of dreams on the spot and don't have to run back to your bed.

Difficulty: Survival

  • Platforms: PC/Mac

The three different difficulty levels are no challenge for you? With the survival mode you can show what you're really made of. You want to sleep to rest? Forget it! The credit limit is 0 euros and with completed missions you earn much less than usual. You can also say goodbye to the AI helpers. With this mod, real know-how is required.

Air Horse Connect Sound Script

  • Platforms: PC

Visually, the machines in Farming Simulator 22 are quite impressive. But the right feeling only comes with the appropriate sounds. For example, when you hear the typical hissing sound of the air hoses as soon as they are in action. With the mod Air Horse Connect Sound Script you can also enjoy the acoustic pleasure.

For example, you can use mods to give these machines additional gears.

The best vehicle mods

Case IH Autonomous

  • Platforms: PC/Mac/Consoles

Welcome to the 21st century: You can test how autonomous farming goes with the Magnum from the Case IH Autonomous mod. The 450 hp robot, which no longer has a driver's cab, takes care of tilling your fields all by itself. It handles plowing just as well as seeding.

Kramer KL30.8T

  • Platforms: PC/Mac/Consoles

Do you want a Kramer telescopic wheel loader in your fleet? Then install the mod Kramer KL30.8T. The wheel loader will cost you between 60,000 and 70,000 euros - depending on whether you choose a diesel or electric engine. You can use this magnificent specimen on all platforms.

1957 Ford Ranchero

  • Platforms: PC

Driving tractors or combine harvesters around the farm is fun, but cruising around in a vintage car is nothing to sneeze at either. Once you have enough money and installed the Ford Ranchero mod, you can purchase the classic car and expand your fleet with a stylish fun car.

Choose from numerous new machines and cars to add to your fleet in the mods.

Uninstalling LWS-22 mods

You uninstall the mods where you installed them. Means: Go to the mod folder of Farming Simulator 22 on your PC and simply delete the corresponding .zip file.

If you have installed the mods via the game's internal ModHub on PC or console, go to "Downloadable Content" in the menu, select the "Installed" tab and uninstall the mod there that you no longer want to use.
