Elden Ring: Blaidd the Half-Wolf - Quest Guide

There are a lot of exciting side quests in Elden Ring. Unlike most other open world games, however, they are hard to find. In this guide we will show you how to activate the questline of Blaidd, the half-wolf.

Where can I find Blaidd in Elden Ring?

To find Blaidd the Half-Wolf in Elden Ring, you must travel to the Ruins in the Misty Forest. The Misty Forest is located in the east of Limgrave and is inhabited by giant bears. Either creep carefully through the woods or get ready for some tough fights. In the Misty Forest you will also find a well that leads to the underground world of Siofra. How do I get Blaidd to climb down from the ruins?

Once you've discovered the ruins in the Cloud Forest, you'll hear a loud snoring sound. One of the giant bears is taking a nap at the base of the big tower. Kill him or sneak past and climb down the stairs next to him. There you will find a treasure chest, in which you will find the Axe Talisman . Go back up and look up at the tower. On its roof is Blaidd, the half-wolf, who won't be distracted by anything or anyone.

Blaidd is on the lookout on this tower. You can only get him to talk to you with a special gesture.

Travel back to the starting point of Limgrave and enter the Church of Elleh. As described in our tips guide to Elden Ring, you will meet merchant Kalé there. Talk to him and ask him about the Misty Forest. He tells you about Blaidd and hands you the gesture "Finger Snap". Return with it to the ruins in the Cloud Forest, stand in front of the tower and use the gesture. Blaidd will jump down and talk to you.

Where can I find Bloodhound Knight Darriwil?

Blaidd tells you about a knight he wants to hunt down. He wants you to help him find and kill Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. He is stuck in the seal prison of the bloodhound. You will find the underground boss arena in the south of Limgrave on a hill, just before the crossing to the Peninsula of Tears. The area is surrounded by strange stone worms that you can kill without much effort for a few runes.

You can call Blaidd to you via an invocation sign in the seal prison. He will then support you in the fight against Darriwil. The Bloodhound Knight is extremely skilled, attacking you with swift sword strokes and combos and retreating in a flash. His great scimitar causes bleeding. However, with Blaidd's help, the fight against Bloodhound Knight Darriwil should not be a problem.

Bloodhound Knight Darriwil may be small, but he's fast and agile. In a team with Blaidd, however, he doesn't pose much of a challenge

What reward do I get at the end of Blaidd's quest?

For defeating the Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, you will receive 1,900 runes and the Bloodhound Fang . The powerful Great Scimitar deals cutting damage and is equipped with the Bloodhound Finesse talent. With it, you'll deliver a powerful upward strike from below and then immediately backflip out of harm's way.

If you immediately follow up with a strong attack, you'll perform the lightning-fast Blood Mouth Step. You had to fend off both attacks a few times in the boss fight against Darriwil. In addition, Blaidd will give you two level two Darkforge Stones as a thank you.
