E3 2021: All participants, events and livestreams

The Corona pandemic threw a spanner in the works of last year's E3. This year, however, the most important gaming event will take place digitally. Here's what we know about the show:

  • From when to when the fair goes
  • Which developers are there and which are not
  • Where you can follow E3 digitally
  • What digital access to E3 costs

How and when will E3 2021 take place?

This year's E3 won't be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center as usual. Instead, there is a digital substitute for you. Here you will not only save on travel and accommodation costs, but even on the entrance ticket. Because E3 2021 is completely free of charge.

And of course there will also be panels from the individual developers. There they will show current trailers for upcoming titles or even present new games. The clear highlight of E3.

The trade show will take place from June 12 to 15, 2021. Due to the American time zone, you can expect to stay awake until late at night. If you want to follow the presentations live.

This is how you can follow E3

Since E3 2021 is a purely digital event, all you need is Internet access and a browser of your choice. You can follow the shows on the official E3 channels on Twitch and YouTube.

Nice: You don 't need a virtual ticket or have to pay for anything. E3 in its digital form is completely free for you.

Furthermore, you can expect that the individual developers will also offer their presentations as a livestream. So check out the publishers' channels as well.

Which publishers are participating in E3 and which are not?

Many major publishers will be attending E3 2021 - but not all. Due to the Corona pandemic and also the elimination of gamescom 2020, many developers have set up their own digital shows and presentations.

The advantage is clear: The publisher itself determines the time frame, when, where and how its events take place and has complete control over the broadcast as well as viewers and advertising revenue.

Therefore, you can expect that missing developers will offer their own livestream parallel to E3 2021 or shortly thereafter.

E3 2021: Which titles could be presented?

New brands or titles are kept behind closed doors by the publishers as long as possible. Still, there are some games in the works that have been confirmed by developers.

Nintendo fans can look forward to new material on "The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild 2". Material on "Metroid Prime 4" is also eagerly awaited by the community.

Microsoft will hold its presentation with Bethesda. Perhaps there will be new material on the upcoming "The Elder Scrolls" spin-off. We can also expect in-house titles... A new Forza Motorsport or more details on the next Halo are conceivable.

At EA, the focus is likely to be on FIFA 22. It's absolutely certain that fans of the soccer simulation will be able to play the latest spin-off towards the end of the year. But more information about the upcoming Dragon Age 4 or perhaps a new Mass Effect would also make fans' hearts beat faster.

Square Enix hasn't officially announced anything yet either. It is conceivable that Final Fantasy 16 will be presented. In addition, the company could show titles like "Forspoken" or "Life is Strange: True Colors". It remains exciting.
