1. GTA Online Treasure Hunt: Use Double-Action Revolver hint pictures

You will receive the first hint for the Double-Action Revolver treasure hunt a few minutes after logging into GTA Online on your in-game smartphone in an email that comes from the address [email protected]. RDR2 fans will surely recognize the Easter Egg here!

In the email there is a photo with a black and white photograph of a place where you start the treasure hunt. At the same time, a yellow marker appears on the in-game map, showing you the approximate location of the site - you'll have to search for it yourself.

There are a total of 20 different possible search locations that will take you to unique places around Los Santos. It's best to play with headphones on, as you'll hear a wind chime ringing in the target area that gets louder the closer you get to the target location. There you will find a note that, after reading through it, will cause three more clues to appear on your map.

2. Where can I find the golden revolver in GTA Online?

You will find the first destination at a withered tree in Grapeseed. As soon as you look at the dead tree in front of the three silos, you've got the right one - there's an empty gun box on the ground near the tree trunk.

The second destination takes you northeast of the small town of Harmony to Sandy Shores. Go up the small embankment next to the road and go to the house at Alamo Lake, of which only a burnt ruin remains. Inside, you'll find a bloody shovel next to a battered green armchair - your next clue.

The third destination is best approached with a helicopter or another airworthy vehicle, alternatively you can drive from the road below Fort Zancudo in the direction of Los Santos. Behind the canoe rental on the river, there is a turnoff to the right up into the mountains. Follow the creek until you see a cave on the right behind some tall bushes. Inside the cave is a corpse, which will give you the final clue.

Once you have collected all three clues, a treasure chest icon will appear on your map, which you will need to travel to in order to collect your reward at the scene of a fight with several corpses lying around: The gold-plated Double-Action Revolver. For this weapon, which is stored in the pistol slot of your weapon wheel, you can regularly get the matching ammo in any Ammunation store.

3. Unlock the Double-Action Revolver in RDR2

To unlock the Double-Action Revolver for Red Dead Redemption 2 (click here for the RDR2 tips guide), you first need to connect both games to your Rockstar Social Club. After that, you'll pull out your fancy new gun in GTA Online and headshot a total of 50 people in the game - it doesn't matter if you're taking down players or NPCs such as cops, gang members, or similar AI-controlled enemies. Every ten victims, the game notifies you of your progress in the headshot challenge.

Once you have completed all 50 headshots, you will receive a reward of GTA$250,000 along with the unlocked weapon. You can find the Double-Action Revolver in Red Dead Redemption 2 after the mission "Eastward" in chapter 1 in your inventory.
