Diablo 3 () has been running the 26th Season "Fall of the Nephalem" since April 15, 2022. After the Soul Shards were introduced last season, there are also some innovations for Season 26. This time, a special treat comes into play with the "Hall Nightmare" feature.

What is the Reverberating Nightmare?

Finally, a horde mode in Diablo! With the Reverberating Nightmare, you get tons of enemies that want to get at you in waves. But how does the end-game feature actually work?

First, you need to reach level 70, because the Hallowing Nightmare is only for maximum level characters. After that, you farm Great Nephale Portals: each final boss of such a portal can drop a "Solidified Scream" with a certain probability. You need this item to enter the Hallowing Nightmare.

Insert the Frozen Scream into Kanai's cube and a portal to the Hallowing Nightmare will open.

How does the Hallowing Nightmare work?

Once you enter the portal, waves of enemies keep spawning for you to destroy. As you do so, the game increases the difficulty, i.e. more and more monsters appear. Depending on how fast you defeat the monsters, you may even have to deal with several waves at once. Also, the monsters get stronger and stronger and are immune to most stun effects.

The Reverberating Nightmare ends when ten waves of enemies are on the field at the same time. Then you are considered overpowered and get your reward.

The loot you get from the portal is quite impressive: From experience points to blood shards and legendary items, it's all there. In addition, the new gem "Whisper of Penance" can be added to your inventory. With its help, you can improve ancient items.
