How to create alternating colors in Google Sheets

1. Open your spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
2. Select the range of cells to which you want to apply the alternating colors.
3. Click “Format” in the menu bar.
4. Select “Conditional Formatting Rules” and then “New Rule Set.”
5. In the window that appears, choose “Custom Formula” from the drop-down menu.
6. In the formula field, enter MOD(ROW(),2)=0.
7. Click the “Choose a format” button and select the color you want for the even rows.
8. Click “Done” to apply the changes.
9. Repeat steps 3 through 8, but in the formula field, enter MOD(ROW(),2)=1 for odd rows.
Is it possible to create alternate colors in Google Sheets based on another condition?
1. Open your spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
