How to show editing history in Google Sheets
Hello geekplay! I hope you are having a spectacular day. By the way, did you know that in Google Sheets you can show editing history to see who has made changes to your documents? It's great!
1. How can I access edit history in Google Sheets?
- Open Google Sheets in your browser and select the spreadsheet you want to view edit history.
- Click "File" in the upper left corner of the screen.
- From the drop-down menu, select “Revision History” and then “View Revision History.”
- A panel will open on the right side of the screen showing all edits made to the spreadsheet.
You can access editing history in Google Sheets by opening the File menu and selecting Revision History and then View Revision History.
2. How do I know who made each edit in Google Sheets?
- Once you have opened the edit history, each change made to the spreadsheet will be displayed with the name of the collaborator who made the change.
- You can click on each edit to see more details, such as the date and time the change was made.
- If you've shared the spreadsheet with other collaborators, you'll be able to see who made each edit.

5. How can I filter edit history by date in Google Sheets?
- In the editing history panel, click the filter icon in the upper right corner of the panel.
- A drop-down menu will open allowing you to select a specific date or date range to filter your editing history.
- Select the desired date or date range and the edit history will be filtered to show only edits made in that period.

- Click the specific cell in the spreadsheet that you want to see changes to.

7. Can I hide certain edits in the edit history in Google Sheets?
- In the edit history pane, click the options menu for the edit you want to hide.

- The hidden edit will still be available for restoration, but it will not be shown in the list of visible edits.

10. How can I print editing history in Google Sheets?
