  • All deck codes of the best decks

The digital collectible card game Legends of Runeterra by Riot Games shifts the battlefield from the genre of MOBA to the genre of digital collectible card game. Like League of Legends, the objective is to destroy the opponent's nexus. The champions and abilities are the same, only you don't enter the battle as one of the champions, but as the commander of all the forces and spells of your side.

In order to build the strongest decks, you need a variety of trading cards. For the Legends of Runeterra decks, you have several factions with different mechanics at your disposal. We will show you some of the best decks and explain where their strengths lie. This way you'll be well prepared for the atmospheric battles.

Why good decks are so important & how to redeem deck codes

There are a lot of good cards in Legends of Runeterra, and they all have a reason to exist. If you've played a bit, you'll have noticed that it's not enough to just combine cards. To get to the top of the rankings, you need one of the more sophisticated Legends of Runeterra decks.

To get the most out of your cards, it makes sense to pay attention to the synergies between spells, abilities, units and champions. Only when everything makes a good combination will you be able to win more games. Visit our Legends of Runeterra tips guide if you don't know what the game is all about.

To redeem the deck codes, go to your collection in the game, select "Decks" and then "Import Deck" in the upper left corner. There you simply copy the long deck code in.

Control Deck: Controls the game

With this control deck you can sit back and relax. The cost of this deck is a relatively expensive 34,100 deck shards. Of course, it's significantly less if you already have some of the cards in your possession.

The goal is to survive as long as possible and keep your opponent's units and champions at bay. In the end, you overrun your opponent with "Tryndamere" or "Those who roam". So that your opponent then has no chance to prevent your victory, the deck relies on so-called removal and multi-target spells. This means that you simply destroy your opponents' units and champions or weaken multiple targets at the same time.

Anivia is a good choice for control in Legends of Runeterra decks.

Barrier Deck: Prevent Damage

The name says it all with the barrier deck: You prevent a lot of damage through the barrier. At the same time you strengthen the stats of your units and champions. If you have to produce all the cards, this deck will cost you 27,600 deck shards.

If you also use cards like "Single Battle" skillfully, you can target your boosted units to single strong enemy threats. The great thing is that your unit survives unscathed and the enemy goes down to defeat.

Spider Deck: Let your army overrun the opponent

The spider deck is a classic zoo deck. This means that you build up an army of comrades-in-arms to go into battle for you. Should some of them die, you have abilities and spells that benefit from them.

In this case, your helpers are spiders. The deck can quickly bring a superiority of units to the battlefield, thus controlling the gameplay. The peculiarity here is that individual losses are easily compensated for and even help in victory. Spells like Black Spear inflict damage to the enemy Nexus when many of your own units die. So play aggressively!

Rush Deck: Uses cards that overwhelm opponents

Are you into brute force? Then this deck is perfect for you. You play a lot of cards with "Overpower" that can break through the opponent's defense line. However, the fun will cost you 27,000 Deck Shards. So the deck is neither particularly expensive, nor particularly cheap.

Your Rush deck uses hardly any spells, but a variety of units and two strong champions. All abilities are based on doing a lot of damage to the opponent as quickly as possible and tearing down their nexus within a few turns. This works effectively and requires that you don't hesitate. The units cost little mana on average, which increases your speed even more.

With the champion Darius you can break through any defense in Legends of Runeterra.

Meta Deck: Corina Control

"Corina Control" is a control deck, plays very slow and plans for a late finish with unavoidable damage from Corina and Ledros.

How to play: at the beginning, make sure that the cards for the endgame are not on the starting hand. Sooner or later, due to the long duration of battles your control deck is designed for, the appropriate card will find its way into your hand. You also have some cards that will help you do this over time.

Against Zoo decks, Aggro decks, and other aggressive Legends of Runeterra decks, you control the board and the opponent. You have Abominable Feast and Embrace of the Undead to absorb any passive damage to your Nexus.

Corina Veraza controls the battlefield like no other companion.

Ezrael decks are a big part of the current meta and are based around leveling this champion. When playing against this meta deck, be careful not to play too many companions to prevent Ezrael from leveling. Meta decks like "Bannerman" force you to manage your mana from turn 6 and not always spend everything so you can still react. "Destruction" eliminates all units and saves you from being overrun.

Meta Deck: Midrange Bannerman

"Midrange Bannerman" is a simple deck that is especially suited for those who like to climb the rankings quickly. However, the games do not run excitingly, but very efficiently.

Play as follows: The meta deck is very good at building pressure and plays simple. If you manage to get enough companions and champions on the board, you can end the game early with a Vanguard Banner Bearer. Use combos like "Flint Feather Tracker" and "Blank Steel Protector" to specifically build control.

Vanguard Banner Bearer's moderate cost makes it a perfect meta focus for midgame decks.

The Midrange Bannerman meta deck struggles a bit with decks that specialize in block. Use Fiora, keep her alive, and play to the advantage that your opponent usually has few control spells.

Poro Deck: Best deck for beginners

The not only incredibly cute Poro deck has its merits first of all in its cost of acquisition. The complete deck including all cards costs only 17,100 shards. This is especially due to the fact that the deck does without many very rare cards.

In terms of play, the deck focuses on the sweet Poros. If you play a lot of them, you will have other abilities and units that reward you. Sometimes you get more powerful units, sometimes an overpowered unit that combines all the abilities of your Poros. The supporting cards also ensure that you have a suitable answer for almost all situations.
