Assassin''s Creed Valhalla: Launch The Signs of Ragnarok

In "The Signs of Ragnarok", the next big expansion for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, some new tasks and thus more hours of gameplay are waiting for you. In this guide you will learn:

  • Which requirements you have to fulfill
  • Whether you can play "The Marks of Ragnarok" even if you are new to ACV

How do I start the expansion "The Marks of Ragnarok"?

In order to start Assassin's Creed Valhalla with the Signs of Ragnarok DLC without any problems, you need to fulfill two requirements in the main game.

  1. You must have brought your settlement Hraefnathorp in Englaland to level 3.
  2. Valka must have her hut in the northwestern part of Hraefnathorp built by you.

If both of these requirements are met and you have installed the Signs of Ragnarok expansion, you will automatically receive a new quest called Restless Dreams. The description says that you should rest under a tree and think about your dream. After that you will get access to the Svartalfaheim adventure.

Ideally, your Eivor power level should be at least 340, then you can easily complete the missions in Svartalfaheim. But even if you're not there yet, it doesn't mean you have to get to the endgame to play the DLC.

Can everyone play the ACV DLC?

The good news is that anyone can play the Signs of Ragnarok expansion. You'll need the base game, of course, but even if you don't have a save game yet, there's an option to play the DLC.

For players who own Assassin's Creed Valhalla but don't have a save game (yet)

There is an option to play the content of "The Marks of Ragnarok" without having invested even an hour in the main game. To do this, install the expansion and select "New Game" from the menu. You will then be given the choice of starting with Assassin's Creed Valhalla or with the expansion.

If you choose the DLC, you can enter the new area Svartalfaheim and receive a boost for Eivor, which allows you to start directly with power level 340. Corresponding equipment will also be made available to you.

For players who have already played Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but do not yet have power level 340

If you have already spent some hours playing Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but have not yet reached power level 340, you can still play "The Marks of Ragnarok". In this case, the boost to the higher power level is also available. However, there is a small catch.

Any progress you make in the new area, as well as new equipment, can be taken back to Englaland. However, keep in mind that the new abilities from the higher power level will no longer be available to you after you return to Englaland.

With the new ACV expansion "The Signs of Ragnarok", new tasks and enemies await you.
