Powerwash Simulator: The best tips & tricks

In our Powerwash Simulator tips guide, you'll learn:

  • How not to miss dirt
  • How to save money
  • What you should pay attention to when cleaning

Use the right nozzle

In Powerwash Simulator you can choose between several different nozzles for your pressure washer. The basic rule is: the wider the nozzle, the weaker the jet.

At the beginning you have four different nozzles to choose from:

  • 0-degree nozzle: covers only a tiny spot, but has the strongest jet power and is perfect for cleaning even the smallest corners.
  • 15-degree nozzle: The second largest nozzle is also very suitable for small areas.
  • 25-degree nozzle: The 25-degree nozzle offers the perfect balance of blasting power and size.
  • 40-degree nozzle: It is always best to start with this nozzle. It's not particularly powerful, but it covers a large area and provides the initial basic cleaning.

Tip: You turn your nozzle by tapping LT. This allows you to switch between the horizontally and vertically aligned nozzle in a relaxed manner.

Select the right nozzle for the job.

So you don't miss any dirt & achieve 100 percent cleanliness

You are at 99 percent cleanliness and don't know where the rest of the dirt is hiding? Powerwash Simulator offers two features to help you find the smallest dirt.

You can press a button (digipad to the right) to highlight the remaining dirt - dirty spots in the game world will then briefly light up in yellow.

If you are cleaning a larger area, it is best to take a look at your tablet and switch to the "Details" tab. There, the game will tell you exactly which objects in the level you have already cleaned 100 percent and which still need some care.

Dirty spots can be displayed at the touch of a button.

Which cleaning fluid is the right one?

Later in the game, you'll unlock different types of soap to fill your pressure washer with. To find out the right cleaning fluid for a dirty object, aim the cleaner at it - in the upper left corner of the screen, the appropriate soap will be displayed under the level. For example, for the roof of the doghouse in the screenshot you need Universal cleaning fluid.

For the roof of the doghouse you need Universal Soap.

How to save money in Powerwash Simulator

Cleaning fluid is used up relatively quickly and refilling the pressure washer with fresh soap costs some money each time. Although cleaning with soap is a little better and faster, it is not really necessary in the first levels.

Therefore, it's best to do without cleaning fluid for the time being and rather use a slightly smaller nozzle for more cleaning power. Later, you can invest the money you save in a better high-pressure cleaner like the Urban X U2 or Prime Vista 3000.

How to earn money

Unfortunately, there is no way to farm money quickly in Powerwash Simulator. Each level in the career mode rewards you with a certain amount of money, which is divided among the individual objects of the level.

So just play one level after another and follow our money saving tips to be able to afford a better pressure washer as soon as possible.

Bonus tips for Powerwash Simulator

  • In career mode you have no time pressure - take as much time as you want for the levels.
  • You can lie down in the game (R3) to remove dirt from under larger objects.
  • With the aiming mode (digipad up) you can freely aim your pressure washer without moving yourself from the spot.
  • On yellow backgrounds, the dirt indicator function is often not very helpful, as the dirt is also highlighted in yellow - it's best to spray over it again if you're not sure whether the object is completely clean yet.
