Delivering cargo is at the heart of Death Stranding and the Death Stranding Director's Cut. However, the post-apocalyptic open world is full of rough terrain and remotely located receivers. So you don't have to run across the continent for every little thing, we'll show you how to use fast travel in Death Stranding in this guide.

When will the Fast Travel feature be unlocked in Death Stranding?

One of the most useful features in Death Stranding is the Fragile Jump. It lets you travel between two points within the chiral network in seconds. The feature is unlocked in Episode 3: Fragile. Once Sam gets to know the delivery girl Fragile better, she deposits her extravagant umbrella in his private room. With this, the Fragile jump is active.

With her umbrella, Fragile transports Sam, allowing for quick travel in Death Stranding.

How do I use quick travel in Death Stranding Director's Cut?

In Death Stranding Director's Cut, the quick travel feature has been revamped. Previously, you had to awkwardly select the destination from a list. If you play the Director's Cut, you can now select the destination directly on the map, which makes orientation much easier.

The way it works remains the same: After Fragile has deposited her umbrella in Sam's private room, you select it there and the delivery person teleports to Sam's room. Then select the destination on the map and Fragile will take you there in a flash. The Fragile jump also lets you jump between regions. Simply switch back and forth on the map with the L1 and R1 keys (PS5).

Death Stranding Fast Travel: Here's what you need to know about the Fragile jump

With the Fragile Jump, you can "beam" back and forth between Sam's private rooms. These are in places that you've already connected to the chiral network and the UCA. In addition to the major Bridges stations like Lake Knot City, you'll also be allowed to fast travel to the private rooms of built shelters.

It doesn't matter if you built them yourself or if they were built online by other players. So build them especially in remote areas that you will have to visit several times - it will save time. Cargo and equipment is automatically stowed in the private locker at the starting point before you jump. So you'll only arrive with what you're wearing on your body.
