Life is Strange: True Colors is an adventure game from the American developer Deck Nine and already the fourth game in the Life is Strange series. In the game you take on the role of Alex Chen, who can see and feel people's emotions with her superpower. However, this special power not only allows Alex to see people's emotions, but also highlights certain items that are linked to strong emotions.

The hidden items represent important memories of the people of Haven Springs and serve to help you understand the story even better. Each memory you find unlocks a new trophy. All the memories in chapter 1

A letter to Riley

After the altercation between Alex's brother Gabe and the jealous Mac, Alex finds herself in her new apartment. The first memory is a letter on the desk across from the bed. The letter is about a conversation between Charlotte and her husband Mac and how jealousy of Gabe is ruining their relationship.

Rift

You will also find the second memory in Alex's new apartment. Turn towards the exit and then look left towards the bathroom. On the wall you will find two posters: a tiger and a mountain biker. Under the post ers lies the next memory. Here we learn that Gabe was always looking for his father.

Officer Fish

After you change your clothes and go downstairs, the bar owner Jed asks you if you want to work for him as a waitress. After some dialog options you can move freely again. You will find the memory you are looking for, a business card, behind the bar. We learn here that the policeman Pike drove the drunk Diana home.

Head count

During the first chapter, you'll have to find little Ethan, who has secretly stolen away to explore the abandoned mine. Once at the mine, you'll have to retrace Ethan's steps. You will find the memory you are looking for on the left side of the tunnel, where Ryan and Gabe are. The helmet provides information about Jed and how he saved his miners.

Time for something new

The first memory of the second chapter can be found on the Black Lantern's roof terrace. In one of the flowerbeds lies a pin that apparently belonged to Steph. We learn that Steph and Izzie were close, but eventually went their separate ways.

You can find the umbrella at the bottom of the Black Lantern. Go to the second exit next to the restrooms. Below the dressing room you will find the said umbrella. In the memory Ryan talks about his mother and tells how proud she is of him for becoming a Ranger.

You will also find the next reminder in the bar. Look behind the counter and you'll discover an old rent check from Gabe. We also learn that Jed has also helped Alex's older brother through financially difficult times.

Pro tip

After you have successfully entertained the visitors of the bar, you can look around Haven Springs for the first time. First, go to the pharmacy run by Gabe's friend Charlotte. In the back room, you'll find the next reminder in the form of THC fruit gums on the counter. Gabe reveals to Charlotte that he is having trouble falling asleep.

Team Munch-Bot

The last reminder of the second chapter can be found in the flower store. After a short conversation with the owner, you can move freely around the store. A close look at the blue bookshelf, reveals a red T-shirt located in one of the drawers. This memory focuses on the relationship between Mac and Riley.

Hell Diver

At the beginning of the third chapter you will find yourself back in the bar. Go in the direction of the toilets and to the wardrobe. Where you found an umbrella in the second chapter, you will now find a bomber jacket. Here we learn something about the Hell Divers and Jed's former profession.

Ethan's Dollar

After the LARP has started and you have talked to the old king, you will be attacked by a ravenous wolf. Once you've won the fight, you'll have to turn around on the park path and look towards the forest. On the ground you will find a dollar bill. This can be easily overlooked, as it barely stands out against the background.

As you walk towards the Black Lantern during the course of LARP, you'll see a business card to the right of the bar's entrance. In this reminder, we learn about Charlotte's mental stress and how hard she is having it dealing with the situation with Gabe and Ethan.

Upright Days

Once in the bar, continue to the billiards room. On one of the tables you'll find a document that reveals that Old Duckie is a member of a tontine.

Valkyries Bowl

The LARP adventure will sooner or later lead you to Steph's redecorated record store. You'll find the next reminder on the right behind the counter, next to the glowing guitar. Interact with the bowl to learn how Steph met her cat.

Pressed Rose

The fourth chapter is all about the Spring Festival. You'll find the first reminder in Alex's apartment. On the far wall you'll find a picture frame with a pressed rose. In Haven Springs, it is a tradition to give a rose to your loved one at the Spring Festival.

I'm in

After you leave your apartment, you'll continue in the festively decorated city park. After talking to your friends, you should first turn your attention to the stage. The drums are the next memory and provide insight into Steph's past life.

Before the eyes of God

When you're done with the drums, check out the back of the stage. Here you can interact with a microphone and learn how Jed proposed to his girlfriend at the time, Janette.

Birthday Boy

After the band's performance, we continue on Main Street. You'll find the next memory in the Black Lantern. Next to the women's restroom is an old Polaroid photo showing Jed together with his son Ryan at a birthday party.

Proud parent

You will find the last memory of the fourth chapter behind the flower store. Run down the main street and turn right at the end towards the bridge. Keep to the right and you will get behind the flower store. The reminder is a sticker from the university Riley would have attended had her foster mother not fallen ill.

Scary memory

You will find the first reminder of the fifth chapter in Alex's mother's hospital room. Keep to the right in the room and examine the sink. Here you will find a red bag and learn how Alex's mother told her that she has to go to the hospital for a long time.

Some kind of fight

The next reminder you'll find is in the Chens' family home. The said find is in the kitchen on a cardboard box. Here you'll also learn how Child Protective Services came to the Chens' home and offered help to Gabe, who was still young at the time.

Guitar Strings

Once at the orphanage, you'll find the next memory on one of the beds. Interact with the guitar strings to learn how Alex discovered playing the guitar for himself in his early years.

Where the Devil Sleeps

The penultimate memory is located in the abandoned mine tunnel. This is the amulet that Alex received from her mother. In the memory you will also learn what happened to Alex's father and what connection he had to Haven Springs.

You are now a hell diver

The last memory in Life is Strange: True Colors can be found in the apartment. Here you can interact with the jacket hanging above a chair. This jacket is the mission jacket of Jon Chen.
