Where can I find the Ancient Fortress in Assassin's Creed Odyssey?

It takes a while to get to the Ancient Fortress in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. It is located on the island of Lemnos in the northeast of the map - and this area is designed for level 40 .

The Ancient Fortress can be found in the northeast of Lemnos Island.

If you want to get there earlier, you can of course try - but if you don't, the pirate ships will destroy you long before you reach the saving shore.

Where can I get the missions for the Ancient Fortress?

Two missions lead you to the Ancient Fortress. We would advise you to have both of them in your luggage so that you don't have to go twice.

One mission is collected directly on Lemnos. This is the end of the series of quests for Barnabas' nephew, who serves you faithfully on Adrasteia.

The second mission is given to you by the sculptor Pheidias. After completing the mission "Art directs life", which among other things leads you to the trident of Poseidon, you will find him dead when you return. The follow-up mission "The End of the Journey" will take you to the Ancient Fortress.

How do I get the third treasure chest?

After you've mourned Pheidias, take the Scytale from the dead man, which he used to decipher a code. Now that you have all the pieces, you can do it for him and you will be led to the Ancient Fortress.

From the dead Pheidias you take the Scytale.

Once you have killed all the cultist guards, collected the Ostrakon tabletsand cleared out the treasure chests, you will notice in Assassin's Creed Odyssey that one is still missing.

But it is well secured behind a door that can only be opened via pressure plates. The solution to this puzzle is hidden in your inventory: In the quest items you will find the scytale with the symbols in the correct order, which we show again for you in the gallery below:

You start at the first symbol on the left side when you enter the corridor.

Continue to the last symbol on the left side.

Step Three: Press the third icon on the right side.

The fourth and final switch is the bird: the second pressure plate on the right.

Once you have overcome the switch puzzle, head to the door. After a short loading sequence you'll end up in the room behind it and can finally empty the last chest. It's worth the effort, because inside you'll find the Atlantis Blade.

It's quite something, because it has the engraving "30% armor penetration", which makes the well-equipped enemies in Assassin's Creed Odyssey stop laughing.
