In principle, as long as the water in Hope County looks normal, there will be a fish or two living in it. There are, however, fish stocks in various places in the game, which you can theoretically draw on your map. To do this, however, you have to buy the corresponding map from Wiki-Bean-ia in Prosperity for valuable ethanol. So that you can save the raw material, we have compiled all the locations for you.

This is how fishing works better

Different baits for different fish - this is how fishing worked in Far Cry 5. For Far Cry New Dawn, the fishing system has been streamlined and you don't have to worry about it anymore.

However, you can make your fishing life a bit easier. After you have unlocked the fishing rod in the advantages, you should also invest some advantage points in the "Nature Lover" skill that builds on it. This makes the fish easier to reel in and reduces the risk of a snapping line.

However, the fish will still fight back when you try to pull them out of the water. Make sure that the line does not turn red when you counter-attack, otherwise it will break. It's better to let it slack for a moment and then tighten it again - at some point even the toughest fish will get tired.
