PES 2019: How the "Players of the Week" work

The myClub mode has been an integral part of the Pro Evolution Soccer series since 2014. Similar to FIFA Ultimate Team, you can sign up professionals independently of their club to put together your dream team and compete against other players. However, the mode is not yet the most popular in the PES series. Even the eSports competitions in PES are often played with classic teams like FC Barcelona or Schalke.

With PES 2019, Konami seems to want to increase the popularity of the myClub mode and made some changes. For example, the developer introduced the so-called "Players of the Week" (PotW) . We'll explain to you how they work.

What are the Players of the Week?

From now on, Konami will award eleven real-life footballers every week for their performances on the real grass. If a player shines in a league match over the weekend, the likelihood of a Players of the Week version is high. Additionally, the scores of these versions are higher than the standard editions.

How long will they be available?

Every week Konami plans to release new Players of the Week. The first eleven appeared on August 30 and will be available until September 6. Every week on Thursday you can enjoy new players of the week from now on.

Where can I find the players of the week?

Unfortunately, the players of the week are a bit hidden. Once you've started PES 2019, you'll first have to switch to myClub mode under the "Online" tab. New menu items await you there. This time, you'll go under Contract and find Agents there. At first, the tile is somewhat unimpressive, as it is overshadowed by the "Players to Watch". However, if you click on it, the players of the week will suddenly appear.

How do I get them?

The players of the week can only be signed with special agents, for which you need 100 of the so-called "myClub coins" . There are a few ways to earn them in-game, but you'll mainly have to buy them for real money in the Store.
