Where is the Frozen Wilds game area located?

Once you've downloaded the story expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn, a new area in the north of the map - called "The Cut" - adds to the open world of the PS4 exclusive title. In terms of size, the DLC area is roughly comparable to the Nora tribal area and the subsequent snow-covered landscapes that Aloy passes on her way to Tagturm and the desert.

In the above image of Horizon Zero Dawn's map, if you look closely, you'll notice three blue markers. One is in the east, one near Meridian, and another near the settlement of Tagturm. One way to get to the new DLC area is to find Yarkiri, who will assign you the quest "Call to the Icy Wilderness". She awaits you at the Tomb Hoard in the northeast of the map. In addition, the entrance to the new area of the DLC is also located in this area.
