How to unlock Mirage

Mirage, the big-nosed swindler from Apex Legends, is one of the legends you'll need to unlock for either 12,000 Legend Tokens or 750 Apex Coins, along with Caustic and Octane.

With a bit of playtime, Mirage can be unlocked without real money.

You will receive 600 Legend Tokens for each level up. That means you have to climb a total of 20 levels to get enough tokens. Apex Legends Mirage - Tactical Ability: Flipped Out

Mirage's tactical ability, on the other hand, lets you activate a holographic decoy at the touch of a button to distract enemies from you.

The decoy creates an exact image of Mirage's movement at the time of use. It is placed in the direction you are aiming. That is, if you run, so does the decoy, if you duck straight, so does the decoy. It even imitates your sliding posture.   6. Even while you're healing, you can use your Tactics ability to distract enemies from you.

Therefore, use your tactics ability as often as possible, because after only 15 seconds of cooldown, it is immediately available again.

Apex Legends Mirage - Ultimate Ability: Vanished

Mirage's ultimate ability "Disappear" unleashes a whole team of decoys around you, while you yourself become invisible and escape from the fighting. The problem here is that the decoys simply stop around you and don't move from the spot.

However, this can be worked around with one of two little tricks:

  • Either stand slightly elevated on the edge of a boulder when activating your ultimate ability.
  • Or you jump off once, shortly after you have ignited the Ulti.

Then the baits around you start to run in all directions.

Especially the jump needs some practice to catch the right time window. You should jump at about the moment when your hand becomes invisible.

At this moment, when your hands become invisible, you jump off. Then the lures of the Ulti will move.

This way you can not only get to safety, but at the same time cause great confusion among the enemies with the baits running around.
