Elex skill tips: How to level up your character quickly and appropriately for you
Like any role-playing game, Elex rewards you with experience points for defeating enemies or completing tasks, which will eventually allow your hero to level up.
However, while you can freely increase character values such as Strength, Intelligence or Dexterity, you can only unlock new abilities for your hero via a master teacher if you have enough money and learning points in your luggage.
In the following, we will tell you which stats you should increase and which skills you should learn in order to be able to level up your hero within the first 10 levels. Tips for the right weapons at the start of the game and what you should generally consider when playing Elex, we have summarized elsewhere.
In addition, we have highlighted the different factions in Elex and where you can find them in the detailed video, whereby the 41 teleporters in the game world of Elex will also help you.
For this skill guide, we played Elex up to level 11 without spending a single point on character stats or skills. During these 10 level-ups, you will earn 100 skill points and 10 learning points, which you should use as follows:

Combat-Professional
Since in Elex, as in every Piranha Bytes role-playing game, you are released into the open game world as a puny buffoon, most players' first impulse is likely to be: How do I make my character fight better?
Therefore, the first thing we'll do is introduce you to the fighter's path, so that you can quickly deal out some serious damage and beat up the riffraff in the game world of Magalan. The skills are listed in parentheses behind the talent tree where you can find them:

Survival pro
The complete opposite of the fighter is the survival pro. In this role, the focus is more on exploring the world, because most of the skills we suggest here increase your hero's resistance.
This allows you to roam around Magalan fairly safely and explore areas that would otherwise be inaccessible (due to radiation, for example).

Crafting professional
Craftsmen are mainly interested in filling their wallets. You can do this legally, for example by killing animals and then trading with NPCs. Or you can go on a thieving spree and steal your wealth.
The crafting pro is also best suited for completing quests for the thieves' guild, if he can find them at all.

Personality pro
The Personality Pro role may be a bit tricky to play at first, as you're not too well equipped for combat.
However, such characters gain a lot of attributes and additional experience points the longer you invest in the appropriate skills. Thus, the hard path you take in the beginning will pay off the longer you persevere.
