The Sims 4 offers you a lot of useful cheats on the PC as well as on the consoles, which make life easier for your Sims. We'll tell you how to enter them on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and what they all are.

Some cheats have only been added to the life simulation with expansions. If you need a specific expansion for a cheat, we have marked it in the appropriate places. We also have a guide to the addons and expansions to The Sims 4 for you.

Activate cheats in The Sims 4

Before you can enter the cheat codes in The Sims 4, you must first activate them. On the PC you press CTRL Shift C at the same time, on the PlayStation 4 you have to press R1 R2 L1 L2 and on the Xbox One LB LT RB RT at the same time.

In the input window that now opens, enter "testingcheats true" on PC and "testingcheats on" on the consoles. This will activate the cheat function in The Sims 4.

But beware, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One you will now be warned that you will no longer be able to earn any Trophies or Achievements on this score in the future. Therefore, it is best to save before you activate the cheats.

Career Cheats in The Sims 4

To start a new career with your Sim, a single cheat code is enough in The Sims 4 (). In addition, you can promote your Sim with another cheat directly in the respective career or end the current career.

Enter the following cheats in the input window:

• careers.add_career [Career]: The active sim will enter the selected career
• careers.promote [Career]: The active sim will be promoted in the selected career
• careers.remove_career [career]: The active sim ends his current career

Improve the skills of your Sims without lengthy training? No problem with this cheat:

• stats.set_skill_level [skill] [1-10]: Sets the selected skill of the active Sim to the specified level between 1 and 10.

Thanks to the ability cheats, you can save yourself the hard training to get better fitness.

Replace [Ability] with the following English terms:

Cheats to change the emotions of your Sims

You can also use cheats to increase the emotions of your Sims in two levels or even remove them completely. Just enter the following cheats into the input window:

• sims.add_buff [Emotion]: Gives the selected Sim an emotion boost
• sims.remove_all_buffs: Removes all moods of the selected Sim

With the emotion cheats, your sims will quickly become happy again.

Ghost cheats in The Sims 4

In order for Sims to become ghosts, they actually have to die. However, with these cheats you can turn your Sims into ghosts at the push of a button. If you want to undo the transformation, enter the following cheat and replace [death type] with one of the English terms from the list:

• traits.remove_trait [manner of death]]

The Sims 4: Seasons - All Weather Cheats

For the following cheats you need the addon "Seasons" (). Then you can not only change the seasons at will, but also let lightning strike in the neighborhood.

With the seasons, thunderstorms including deadly lightning will also find their way into The Sims 4.

The Sims 4: Island Life

In the tropical environment of the islands of Sulani, many sea and beach activities such as diving, jet skiing and sandcastle building await you in the expansion pack "Island Life" (), but also the temptations of life as a mermaid or merman.

In "Island Life" you can even make friends with a cute dolphin.

Sims 4: To the university - cheats

To make your Sims' time at university easier, there are quite a few different cheats. Master the three new careers, get an advantageous degree certificate without any work or increase your popularity in the student groups of the two new universities Britechester and Foxbury.

Enrollment in the university

Use testingcheats on and Shift-click on your Sim to open your Sim's debug menu for "To University". Then select "enroll in university" to immediately open the enrollment window and select your courses.

Progress through the student groups

To progress in one of the three student groups at each of the two universities, first join the desired group - to do this, simply speak to an existing member and ask to join. If you want to become a member of one of the two secret societies, go to the statue in the center of the campus and donate high-value items to be accepted. Then use the following cheats to advance in the respective group:

University graduation certificates

Why study laboriously when you can cheat your way to a suitable degree certificate? Both universities offer normal and special degree programs, for the latter your Sims must have already gained some knowledge in the field of study. Degrees increase the earnings, the number of vacation days and the career entry level of your Sims, special and honorary degrees even more.

So the biggest possible bonus your Sims will get is with an honors degree from a special field of study - in Britechester these are arts majors, in Foxbury science majors. The best possible degrees are marked with * in the list.

The addon "Live more sustainably" again brings some shift-cheats with it. Hold down the shift key and click on one of the following objects or sims to perform various actions directly.
