Expansion packs for The Sims 4

Under expansion packs Electronic Arts summarizes all expansions for The Sims 4, which pass as real add-ons. These bring new game modes, fresh areas and also lots of new objects.

Accordingly, these packages are also the most expensive and usually cost around 40 Euros when they are released. If you want to download the expansions, you can either purchase them digitally or traditionally in the store.

High School Years

The Highschool Years expansion pack takes your Sims back to their school days. You'll experience prom nights, play pranks on other Sims, and build friendships and rivalries.

However, with the expansion you will not only take part in classes and some extracurricular activities like football or cheerleading. Apart from high school, you'll be able to earn money as a style influencer or streamer and thus fill up your bank account a bit.

Country House Life

With the expansion "Country Life" you can finally build your own farm in The Sims 4. In the new village "Henford-on-Bagley" you raise your own cows, chickens or even llamas and earn your money by selling milk or eggs.

Your young adults can get an academic education in the expansion pack "To University": In the new neighborhood of Britechester, the tradition-conscious Britechester University and the modern Foxbury Institute compete for the brightest minds.

Qualify your Sims for a scholarship, move into the student dormitory and, in addition to constant studying, enjoy the bustling student life in various university groups, join the secret fraternity and disfigure the campus of the respective other university with nasty pranks. Build service robots or even your own servo, which will move into your household as a full-fledged member, and take up one of three new careers after successfully graduating.

This is what awaits you in "To the University":

Get your degree in one of a total of 13 subjects with different entry requirements and master everyday student life with presentations, term papers and final theses.
Become part of 3 unique student groups and one secret fraternity per university and complete their tasks to rise in their prestige.
With the new Robotics skill, craft useful household robots, fun toys like a flying drone, or even an autonomous servo that can become part of a household and live like a normal sim.
The new Research and Debate skill is all about an academic career and lets your Sims better research, debate, and convince other Sims to do things for you.
Three new standard careers you can take up with or without a degree: Let your Sims become judges or lawyers in the Law Career, train them to be computer or mechanical engineers in the Engineering Career, or return to college as a professor or university dean in the Education Career.
Let your Sims explore the new neighborhood of Britechester by bike, play ping pong, make a juice barrel stand, dribble with a soccer ball, or treat yourself to lots of fan gear from your favorite university.

Island Life

Things get really relaxed for your Sims in the "Island Life" expansion pack. In the tropical island landscape of Sulani, they enjoy summer, sun, beach and sea - ideal if you're longing for a vacation or want to treat your Sims to some quality time in the inviting, diverse neighborhood. As an environmentalist, you'll dedicate yourself to preserving and beautifying the island of Mua Pel'am and attend a variety of festivals or try to get the perfect suntan. Some Sims even become a mermaid or a merman and make friends with a playful dolphin!

Become famous

The Become Famous package allows you to pursue a career as an actor with your Sims and, as the name suggests, become famous.

The acting career is interactive, so you can work your way up from commercials to blockbusters. Besides, the package includes a new area, luxury villas and even movie sets that you can build.

Seasons

The "Seasons" pack adds spring, summer, fall and winter to the game, along with matching weather effects.

Gameplay Packs for The Sims 4

The so-called Gameplay Packs for The Sims 4 are expansions that add smaller areas with tasks to the game or similar. Thus, they are less extensive than the previously presented expansion packs and therefore usually cost around 20 euros.

Werewolves

As the title of the gameplay pack suggests, you can now turn your Sims into werewolves. The special character traits and abilities of werewolf Sims are even influenced by the phases of the moon. Moonwood Mill is a new area that invites you to explore.

In addition, there are all kinds of new building mode and Sim objects that fit thematically to the werewolf story of the Gameplay Pack. For example, you can give your Sims werewolf scratch marks in the editor.

Dreamlike interior design

With the gameplay pack "Dreamlike interior design" your Sim becomes an interior decorator. Before you start working, however, you'll first have to find out the customers' preferences - because you'll only make your customers happy if you keep a close eye on their preferences and budget.

Some customers will ask you to redecorate a single room, while others will ask you to redecorate an entire house. Perfect for all Sims players who have already spent most of their time decorating their own four walls.

The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu

The dream for all Sims playing Star Wars fans comes true with this gameplay pack. The new travel world Batuu lets you and your Sim completely immerse yourself in the Star Wars universe.

Realm of magic

It gets really magical in the gameplay pack "Realm of Magic", as your Sims can enter the world of magicians through a portal in the Glimmerbrook neighborhood and become magicians themselves. Your Sims will learn new spells from three specialties, potion recipes, fly through the game world on brooms, and collect magical companions and wands.

With a variety of potion and spell effects, you bring a lot of variety into the everyday life of your Sims, even magical duels with other wizards are possible. The Gameplay Pack expands the Create-a-Sim mode with the occult creature "Wizard" and decorations in the interior style of the main building in the Magic Kingdom.

StrangerVille

In the gameplay pack "StrangerVille" everything revolves around the eponymous city in the desert. Something strange is going on there and therefore you are supposed to uncover the secrets with your Sims.

Apart from the new area and the new tasks there are several new objects for the building mode as well as clothes and accessories for your Sim.

Jungle Adventure

This gameplay pack expands The Sims 4 by the game world Selvadorada, which you can travel.

There you can go on a discovery tour through the jungle and explore a temple. The Archaeology skill is added for this purpose.

Parental joys

If you want your Sims to embark on the adventure of starting a family, then the gameplay pack "Parental Delights" is the perfect expansion. In it, everything revolves around the dear little ones and their upbringing, which is also directly the new ability for your Alteregos.

In addition, The Sims 4 is expanded with all kinds of new activities around the kids, for example that you have to manage school projects.

Vampires

Things get a little spooky with the expansion "Vampires". With this gameplay pack you can design Sims that are bloodsuckers.

They have special powers, for example, so that they can influence the thoughts of other Sims, but at the same time they can't stand sunlight, of course. In addition, you are free to choose whether you want to testify other Sims or rather use other sources as a harmless undead.

A new game area called Fogotten Hollow is also included. There the night lasts particularly long and the area has five properties.

The gameplay pack "Palate Delights" revolves around restaurants in the game world. You can either open and manage your own restaurant or just let your Sims go out to eat.

Paranormal phenomena

With the expansion "Paranormal Phenomena" you can move with your Sims into a real haunted house. But don't worry: if the chaos of ghosts gets too much for you, you can call on the helpful Guidry for help, who will remove cursed objects or even conduct a seance.

Your Sims can even learn the medium ability themselves, allowing them to conduct paranormal investigations in other haunted houses.

Chic with rope

The Sims 4 expansion "Knit with Knit" is all about knitting, of course. You can not only knit clothes for your Sims, but even decorative objects like carpets or hanging baskets.

Tiny Houses
