Little Nightmares 2: Find all 12 hats - Locations at a glance

In Little Nightmares 2, the twelve hats are spread across all five levels. You have to play through the game once to complete the collection. However, since the hats can easily be overlooked, we will tell you in this guide:

Let the hat search begin

The hats in Little Nightmares 2 are pretty darn well hidden, and not every one of them will be served to you on a silver platter - or should we say in a silver cage? - served up.

Everyone who owns the game starts with a hat in their inventory: the paper bag. All you have to do is start Little Nightmares 2. However, if you pre-ordered the game, you have a small advantage over those who bought the game after release: You'll have the Mokujin hat in your inventory as well as the paper bag. You can read more about how to get the hat without the pre-order bonus later in this guide.

You can see which hats you already have and which ones you're still missing via the main menu. There is a sub-item called "Hats", under which all headgear is listed. If you are still missing hats, you will only see their outline. You can switch between the hats you already have and give yourself a new look.

Little Nightmares 2: Hats in Chapter 1

While you're still familiarizing yourself with the game's mechanics, don't be afraid to look for hats at the same time. Three of them are waiting for you at the beginning.

Beaver hat	Once you've entered the first house and crossed the kitchen, walk down the hallway towards you and then turn left into the room. In the middle of the carpet is the Beaver Hat.
Secret Santa Hat	Note: You can only get this hat if you bought the Deluxe Edition including the DLC "Nome's Attic". Whenyou're in the attic with Six, a little elf dashes past you, jumps onto a chest of drawers and disappears under the shelf. Follow the little guy as far as you can until you have to flip a switch at one point. At the end, the elf's hat lies on an elevation next to a chest with a lamp in front of it.
Fireman's helmet	After your escape from the nasty hunter, you'll come across several crates and cages behind a wooden bridge. Some of them are hanging down from trees. Climb onto the crate tower and jump from there to the cage on which a crow is sitting. Inside you can already see something yellow. Don't be surprised: When you stand on the cage, nothing happens at first. You have to jump up and down a few times so that the cage falls down and shatters on the ground. Now you just have to collect the fire helmet.

Little Nightmares 2: Hats in Chapter 2

The school doesn't look very inviting. But you have to pass through it to get further in the story - and to find two hats.

Baseball hat	When you arrive at the dreary schoolyard, walk past the seesaw towards the entrance. To the right of the stairs you'll see a dumpster. Climb on it, because on it lies easily accessible an old baseball, which will become your new hat.
Tin Can Hat	In the second chapter, the long-necked teacher is out to get you. Your escape from her will take you through the library, among other places. You'll find a ladder there, which you can slide along a bookshelf. Push it to the second shelf and climb up. There - well hidden in the shadows - lies the tin can hat.

Little Nightmares 2: Hats in Chapter 3

After school, you'll have to sneak through the gloomy hospital together with Six. Keep your eyes open, because inside you will find two more hats.

Teddy Bear Head	Go to the room next to the X-ray machine. There you will find a shelf full of toys. To find the teddy bear hat, you have to climb to the top. Hidden in the shadows, the headgear is on the very top of the shelf.
Bandage hat	Did you escape the terrible doctor for the first time? Then the next hat is within reach: as soon as you crawl through a hole in the floor one floor below, Six will help you push through a wall. Now you are standing in an autopsy room with numerous body compartments. One of the lower compartments has no lock. Open the door and collect the bandage hat inside.

Little Nightmares 2: Hats in Chapter 4

In the next chapter, two hats are waiting for you again.

Hat	Find them at
Mail hat	You will have to swing over a small chasm with a lamp at one point. Then climb down into the abyss. Before you continue to the right, where the story takes you, first go to the left to the pile of letters. There you will find a shaft containing the post cap.
Slider cap	As soon as you enter the store through the window for the first time, look up to the left. There, hidden in the shadows, lies the Slider's Cap on a package. You can get it by pushing the shopping cart to the shelf. Don't roll it down the ramp beforehand, because you won't be able to pull it up again. You can climb onto the shelf via the cart and collect the cap.

Little Nightmares 2: Unlock special hats

Hat	Find at
Hat of the thin man	Defeat the skinny man at the end of Little Nightmares 2 and you will receive his hat as a reward. Once you put it on, you'll also get the achievement "How do I look?"
Mokujin Hat	Pre-orderers will get the hat from the start. Everyone else will have to find and collect all the fragmented remains to unlock the hat.
