Each weapon has a requirement for your stats and weight. If you exceed the weight limit, you won't be able to dodge some attacks. There are five weapon types in total. With them you can vary your play style enormously. Each weapon specializes in a different fighting style. With broadswords you are slow, but very strong in attack. With a bayonet you'll attack quickly, but do less damage.

You can choose from the following weapon types:

Easy to use and versatile. They have a short range, but deal out quick attacks and balanced damage. You can equip the following swords with your hero:

Code Vein: Two-Handed Swords

They are powerful and have a long-range attack. However, attacks with two-handed swords are rather slow. If you want to deal a lot of damage in a large radius, you should use a two-handed sword. You can equip the following two-handed swords:

Code Vein: Rod Weapons - Halberd, Spear, Axe, Sickle

Attacks with a polearm have a long range and thus cause high area damage. You act at normal speed in a 360 degree radius. You can equip the following pole weapons:

Code Vein: Two-Handed Rod Weapons - Hammer, Axe

Two-handed pole weapons perform powerful attacks with long range. However, these are done at a slow speed. If you want to deal a lot of damage in a large radius, these two-handed polearms are for you:
