Inkmoor Shrine: How to get the first ghost shard expansion

Opher will tell you about a mysterious shrine near the entrance to Kwolok's Valley in Inkmoor. Walk past it on the right and you will find a small bridge. Use the Ghost Blade to clear an opening on the left edge of the bridge and climb down.

Opher will tell you about a mysterious shrine in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Crawl along the blue moss. Before you jump up over the trampoline, grab the ghost lights. Hop up first, then take the next two jumping aids by the spinning spiked clubs to get all the way to the top right.

Activate the battle shrine and defeat the enemies that appear one after the other. As a reward, you can now equip a fourth spirit shard. In our tips guide for Ori and the Will of the Wisps you can find helpful information about weapons and battles.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps: How to unlock the first spirit quest

A Moki in Kwolok's Valley tells you about strange pedestals that reveal ghosts of the past. Pass the Moki and jump onto the platform on the right after the bridge. Activate the blue turtle with the bow.

Mokis like to chat with you and are always good for a side quest

Climb over their tongue to the other side and use the lever. After the water has drained, jump down. Double jump to the staff sticking out of the water. Follow the path to the left until you stand between two stone turtles.

To the left of them jump onto the bar in the spikes and from there double jump up to the right. From the hanging platform shoot an arrow at the turtle on the upper right. This will now pull a rock down.

Activate the left turtle and pull the rock on its tongue all the way up. Now activate the right turtle and deactivate the left one as soon as their tongues cross. The rock will slide to the left onto the elevation. Push it further onto the platform and a gate will open on your left.

Go through it and activate one turtle after another to get to the other side. Use the lever and the water continues to sink. Jump all the way down and activate the turtle there. Jump over its tongue to the top left and activate the switch to open a rock bottom.

Run to the right and jump up with the help of the turtles. Follow the path to the right until it goes down again and swing over the vines further and further down. When you reach the bottom, keep left until you reach a blue platform. Activate it and you will have unlocked the first ghost test for a ghost race.

How do I solve the stone note puzzle of the "Into the Burrow" quest?

In the Midnight Caves, south of Ink Bog, you will meet Tokk. He tells you about stone notes whose song should open a portal. You can see the stones in the background. A little further to the right, three bells hang from the ceiling.

Each bell is different in length and emits a different sound when you ring it. Jump on one of the bells and perform the Spirit Strike shock attack to make it ring. Shimmy from bell to bell in the following order and the portal will open.

Song of the Stones:

  • Left - Center - Right - Right - Left - Center - Left

If the song sounds correctly, the floor under the bells will open. Shimmy along the chasm until you reach the midnight caves. Activate the ghost portal on the left and then continue along the path to the right.

Midnight Caves: How do I reach Lupo with the fog hole portals?

At the cliff, jump into the pit with the spiky thorns. Make sure you land right in the blue mist in the middle. These fog holes are small portals - if you jump in, you will come out of another fog hole.

Lupo always has the right map for you in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

The first fog hole takes you to the right on the other side of the thorn wall. If you fly into the air, press the sprint button to the right at the highest point. Grab the first stone key and jump back into the fog hole you came from.

Next, jump into the fog hole to your left and you'll come out at a higher point, on the right side of the thorn wall. From there, jump into the opposite fog hole and cross the gorge at the top. The cartographer Lupo is already waiting for you.

Buy a map from Lupo. On it you can see the positions of the remaining three stone keys, the ghost gate and the artifact you are looking for. Jump from the cliff again directly into the center of the spiked pit and keep right while flying out of the portal.

How do I keep the falling gate open in the midnight caves?

Go to the right until you reach a cliff. There are four portals in the pit. First jump into the hole at the bottom left, then take the portal in the hollowed tree trunk. Latch onto the lantern while falling with the push attack and shoot your way to the right.

Fall into the portal and you will come out at a switch. Do not use this switch or you will block your own way. Jump off the wall on the right. Triple jump and sprint at the end to get to the platform with the second keystone.

Turn back and use the push attack to catapult yourself over the two lamps into the portal at the end of the pit. Pull the switch and a stone gate will rise above you. If you release it, the gate will lower again.

Pull the stone gate all the way up and quickly jump onto the opposite platform. You'll need full health now, as you're about to take some damage. Pull the stone gate all the way up with the switch.

The blue fog hole portals will lead you to a lost artifact in Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Triple jump to the left to the thorn wall. After the first two tendrils you can land safely, but hitting the spot unharmed is very difficult. From there, triple jump and sprint across the wooden plank on the right to the other side of the gorge.

Sprint through the descending stone gate. Go right and continue jumping from the top into the lower right portal. If you fly out on the other side, press the sprint button to the right at the highest point to get to the third stone key.

This is how you find the last stone key and get to the lost artifact

You can smash the rock wall on your right to reveal a shortcut to the Ink Bog. Jump back into the portal from as high a height as possible and hold onto the wall on the right as you fly out.

Finally Ori has reached the artifact and can return it to Tokk.

Once at the top, the ceiling and floor are made of portals that constantly throw you down from above. If you are thrown out, press the sprint button to the left. You need the right timing to get past the thorny rocks.

At the end, kill the small spider and jump onto the opposite platform. Grab the last keystone and drop into the gorge. Jump into the portal under the tree trunk.

Jump over the bushes on the right and climb down the wall. Over the two lanterns swing into the portal on the left. Jump down, take the portal on the right and then immediately the portal on your right.

You did it! Tokk finally has the mysterious artifact from the Midnight Caves.

Return to the cartographer Lupo and jump back into the portal in the middle of the canyon from above. As you eject, keep to the right and hook onto the lantern. Catapult up and climb over the wall to the top.

On the opposite side, use the keystones on the ghost gate and grab the old stone tablet. Take it back to Tokk. To reach him, you'll have to take a detour across the Ink Bog.

It's best to teleport out of the Midnight Caves via the Ghost Portal and return to Tokk from above. He will reward you with 1000 ghost stones for the stone tablet.
