WOW Classic servers: These servers are available to you

So far, Blizzard has confirmed four German-speaking and thirteen European servers. There will be four server categories. Most players will create their character on a PvE server (Player versus Enviroment) or a PvP server (Player versus Player). Roleplayers will have RP servers (Roleplay servers), which will again be divided into PvE and PvP servers. On these servers, however, there is no compulsion to roleplay, nor are there stricter rules than on regular servers.

On PvP servers, characters from different factions can fight each other at any time. This also means that you can be easily attacked with low-level characters by players of much higher levels. While there are safe zones where PvP combat is not possible, these are few and far between. While this type of combat among players is also possible on PvE servers, you must first enable the PvP marker via the /pvp command in chat to do so.

Fast leveling in WoW Classic - How to reach level 20, 40 and 60 fast!

Nothing is as important for fast leveling as the chosen class. In our WoW Classic class and race guide, you can find out which classes get through the leveling phase particularly quickly and which classes are more difficult to level. But even if your class doesn't offer the optimal conditions, you can reach the maximum level quickly with the following tips.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide Draenei with a quest

  1. Form a group with other players
Your enemies can be defeated faster if you don't fight them alone. Although you will share the experience points for defeating your enemies, you will need much less time and you will be able to engage several enemies in a fight at the same time. Besides, this way you'll complete your quests faster. The leveling phase is generally much easier if you don't play alone, because you won't get into dicey situations as often and die accordingly much less often.
  2. Find a guild
A guild is an association of several players who pursue their goals together and help each other. A guild can also be useful for leveling, because you can easily get in contact with other players through the guild. This makes it especially easy to find groups that level together. Guilds can be found via the official forum or via the trade chat. You can use it in any capital city by typing /2 in front of your messages in the chat.
  3. Use optimized level routes for more efficiency
If you want to level efficiently and avoid unnecessary routes, you can use so-called level routes. ClassicWow.live offers a free tool with a self-explanatory user interface. In order for the tool to guide you in leveling, it needs basic information such as your race, faction, class and the size of your party.
  4. Professions take a lot of time
Professions in WOW Classic take a lot of time. If you want to level quickly, you should learn your professions late.
  5. Avoid Dungeons & PvP
    Although
dungeons offer you strong equipment, the quests are usually widely scattered. Since these runs take a lot of time, you will level faster by avoiding dungeons. Battlegrounds provide very few experience points, so they are not suitable for leveling.
  6. Save a lot of time with the Auto-Loot function
With the Auto-Loot function you automatically loot all items that are not bound when you pick them up. To use this function you have to press "Shift right mouse button" while looting.
  7. Use bank characters for valuable items
    Bank
characters give you the distinct advantage of not having to constantly run to a bank to stash items. Create a new character and bring it to the nearest capital. Now you can mail items to that character.
  8. Skip quests
You don't have to complete every quest! Some quests do not give you equipment or experience points. If you have to travel for half an eternity to complete a quest, you will lose a lot of time.
  9. Use the recovery bonus
A "zZz" icon on your glowing character portrait indicates that your character is resting. The bar where you can see your experience points turns blue when rested. Additionally, a marker appears to indicate until when the rested state is in effect. This state is activated in inns and capitals while you are logged in. If you log out in other areas, you will also receive the recovery state, but it will take four times longer to build up. While you are recovered, you will gain more experience points when defeating your enemies.

WoW Classic: All areas sorted by level

If you want to finish the leveling phase quickly, you have to grind and quest in the right areas. You won 't receive experience points for defeating an enemy if their level is far below yours. Completing quests will not give you experience points either. In our tables you can find the leveling areas of all zones in Azeroth.

Note: Unless otherwise stated, any faction in the area can accept quests.

Your first mount in WoW Classic: These are the requirements you have to fulfill

After countless quests and tiring marches, you will eventually reach level 40. This is the time when all your efforts will pay off. Because from level 40 you can complete the horse training, if you have the right change in your wallet. You will need a total of 100 gold.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide Night Elf on a Saber

You can learn the riding skill for 80 gold from the riding instructor of your race. This will allow you to ride rare mounts that increase your movement speed by 60 percent. Each rare mount costs 20 gold pieces. Each race has its own riding ability.

Once you reach the maximum level, you can use epic mounts. However, the purchase will cost you 1,000 gold. But the cost is worth it, because with your epic mount you can move 100 percent faster through the world. You can purchase these from the respective mount dealer of your faction.

WOW Classic Alliance: Here you can find the mounts of the alliance

How Paladins & Warlocks Can Summon Their Mounts

Paladins and Warlocks really save gold when it comes to riding. While they learn Summoning their first mount completely for free, they pay significantly less than other classes when learning Epic Riding. For level 40 riding, both classes only need level 40. Paladins need to accept and complete the quest The Tome of Nobility in Stormwind from Arthur the Faithful or in Ironforge from Brandur Ironhammer. A detailed guide for the epic Paladin mount can be found here.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide - Warlock Avatar

Warlocks must complete the Summon Felsteed quest. Alliance members can take this quest from Demisette Cloyce in Stormwind or from Briarthorn in Ironforge. Horde members can get the quest in Orgrimmar at Zevrost or in Undercity at Kaal Soulreaper. After completing the quest, both classes get the ability to summon their mount completely free of charge. A detailed guide for the epic Warlock mount can be found here in English.

Unlearning WoW Classic Talents: How to reset your skill points

Starting at level 10, you will receive one skill point with each level, which you can invest in your talents. At level 60 you have a total of 51 points available. If you set a talent point incorrectly or want to try a different skill, you will need to reset your talent points. You can do this with teachers of your class. You will pay a certain amount of gold for this, which will increase each time you unlearn your talents.

The cost is one gold the first time. The second time, the cost increases to 5 gold. After that, each unlearning costs 5 gold more, up to a maximum of 50 gold. Choosing a talent requires planning ahead, otherwise you will have to pay a lot in the long run. You can use a talent calculator to do this planning for free and also look at the talent trees of other classes.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide Unlearning Talents

Wowhead offers a talent calculator with a clear user interface. At the beginning you have to choose your class and then you can start right away. After you have assigned the first point in the talent calculator, the required level for this skill is displayed on the right under the talent tree. This is calculated on the basis of the points you have assigned. As an alternative to Wowhead you can use the talent calculator of Classicdb.

Earn gold fast in WoW Classic - How to get rich!

In WOW: Classic you can spend your gold in many ways. Mounts, resetting your talents and buying equipment will demand a lot from you already at the beginning. As you level up, you'll get more and more options that will cost you even more gold. Our tips will make it much easier for you to save up a considerable amount of money.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide Saving Gold - Treasure Chest

  1. You can make alot of money with the auction house
In the auction house you can sell all items that are not bound to you. All items that are not inferior, i.e. whose name does not appear in gray letters in the tooltip, are generally considered useful items. If you have no use for an item yourself, you can offer such items in the auction house. This includes rare items, equipment, consumables, recipes and materials for professions.
  2. Selling profession-related materials will bring you a lot of gold
You can use the collecting professions in WOW: Classic to collect items that other players need for their crafting professions. If you learn a gathering profession right at the beginning, you can level it up in parallel with your character level and collect valuable materials along the way. You can then sell them. You can find an overview of all professions in our WoW Classic Classes & Professions Guide.
  3. Loot every enemy and take every item with you
The most effective way to earn gold on the side is actually to take every item that your enemies drop. Gray items and worn out armor can be sold at the merchant. The rest of the items should go to the auction house, unless you need them yourself.
  4. The most effective method: wait until you reach level 60
    Dungeons
, equipment and quests will bring you more profit when you reach level 60. Loot from the highest dungeons is obviously more valuable than the items from the lower dungeons. Level 60 rare items and equipment will bring you much more gold in the auction house than lower level items. Collecting professions will also bring you more earnings if you collect materials that require a higher skill level.

Saving in WoW Classic makes more sense up to level 60

If you level fast, you can earn more money faster. For this reason, spending as little gold as possible during the leveling phase will bring you much more. We will show you how to save effectively to be able to buy your mount at level 40.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide the Auction House in Stormwind

  1. Ask a mage for food
Mages can make free food and drink and give it to you through trade. If none of your friends play a mage, just ask one from your guild for food.
  2. Bank characters save you a lot of gold
Every character has a free bank slot right at the beginning. If you divide your items among your bank characters, you can save yourself the trouble of unlocking paid bank slots.
  3. You don't have to learn every spell available
Learning higher skill ranks and new spells costs a lot of gold. For example, if you're a mage and you're skilled to Frost, Arcane Explosion won't do you much good in terms of leveling. Nerdsquare.eu 's class guides can give you some direction here if you don't know which abilities to forgo.
  4. Buy new equipment only in case of emergency
Changing your weapon will give you the biggest advantage, as you will do more damage with a better weapon. However, you should only consider this if you can't get anywhere on your own. The best level 30 weapon can usually be replaced effortlessly a few levels later, so an expensive purchase is usually not worth it.
  5. Only reset your talents in an emergency
You can save money by resetting your talents as rarely as possible. Never reskill just because you need it for a dungeon party!
  6. Realistic prices in the auction house
In the auction house you must set realistic prices, otherwise no one will buy your posted items. Since every posted item costs something, auctions with unrealistic prices are completely out of place.

Where to buy reagents and projectiles in WoW Classic

As you level up, many class learn abilities that require reagents to perform. Kyra Boucher in Stormwind at coordinates 56.2, 65.0 and Horthus in Orgrimmar at coordinates 45.6, 56.8 are probably the most important reagent sellers. You can find these vendors in every capital city and sometimes in other areas as well. You can find a complete listing of all reagent vendors here.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide a hordler at the bar

All projectiles such as arrows, projectiles, throwing axes, and throwing daggers can be purchased from NPCs that have the words general merchandise vendor or general merchandise under their name. General merchants, on the other hand, do not sell projectiles, but items relevant to professions. General merchandise sellers can be found in all capitals and in most villages. A detailed list can be found at Wowhead.

How to use your ranged weapon in battle

What many people don't know: Your ranged weapon (wand, bow, and firearm) can be used wisely in combat! All you have to do is find the appropriate skill in your skill book. You can then drag the Shooting skill into your action bar and use it to attack enemies from a distance without using up mana, rage, or energy.

Tips for PvP in WoW Classic - How to rock PvP

Although there will be no honor system built into the game when WoW Classic is released, you will still be able to attack players and NPCs of the other factions. With our tips, you can gain an advantage over other players in World PvP. Here's how to rock PvP:

World of Warcraft Classic Guide two Horde fights against Alliance guards

  1. Use a PvP skill
For the leveling phase, in dungeons and in raids you usually use PvE skills. However, these won't do you much good in PvP. Each class has at least one skill that is particularly effective for fighting other players. PvP skills are so effective because they have abilities and talents that are strong in combat against players. In our WoW Classic class guide you can already find a first overview of all classes in the game. The best WoW Classic PvP builds for your class are listed here.
  2. This is how important control spells are
Stuns, fear spells and movement restricting effects are especially important in PvP. Stuns help you defeat an enemy quickly by preventing them from doing anything. Movement-restricting effects make it easier for you to flee and keep enemies from fleeing. Any spell that can control the enemy is important in PvP.
  3. Look at other classes' abilities
Looking at other classes' abilities in talent calculators and talent books can give you an idea of their core abilities. The more you learn about the other classes, the better you will do in duels.
  4. Don't waste your emergency spells
Emergency spells like the Mage's Ice Block or the Paladin's God Shield can save you from certain death in difficult battles. If you notice that your opponent is activating his strongest spells, you can use these spells to tide you over, as you won't take any damage. Also, you can use the time to quickly think of another tactic or to get an overview of the local conditions.
  5. Level advantage on battlegrounds
Once the first battlegrounds are launched, players level 10 and above will be able to participate. Players in the same level range will fight against each other on the battlegrounds. This means that players of level 10-19 will play against each other, as well as players of level 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60, so if you enter a battleground at level 39, you will sometimes play against lower level opponents. Due to your level advantage, you will have better stats and may be able to win more easily.

Macros in WoW Classic - How it works!

Macros can make your life much easier in World of Warcraft: Classic. You can open the macro menu with the chat command "/m". Macros allow you to assign single or multiple chat commands to a button and drag and drop it into your action bars. Simple macros allow you, for example, to write your guild introduction in the trade chat with the click of a button. You can also target and tag NPCs or players this way.

World of Warcraft Classic Guide How Macros Work

With "/use [target=mouseover] Lightning Heal" you can cast a heal as a priest that will hit the player you hover over with your mouse. This can also be used for abilities that should interrupt your opponent's spell or for abilities that can remove negative effects from your allies. The linked forum post will teach you even more details about how the macros work.

These are the most important (graphic) settings for WOW Classic

In WoW Classic, there will be the option to play with updated graphics settings. Specifically, this means that Azeroth on a Classic server will look exactly like it does on a Battle for Azeroth server. For an authentic Classic feeling, you will also be able to use the Classic button in the graphics settings. With this button you can travel back in time and activate the original graphics of WoW Classic from 2004.

World of Warcraft Classic: Robots on a field in Westfall

However, you will be able to use the "classic" button in the graphics settings to set the original graphics from 2004. You can see how the current graphics differ from the original ones here. Even if you like to play with the original graphics, you should adjust these settings:

Projected Textures: If you disable this setting, important area effects may not be shown to you and you will have no way to escape from these effects early.

Ground Object Density: If you maximize this setting, quest items may become difficult to find or may not display correctly. We recommend that you set it to a medium value.

Texture resolution: If you want a Classic feel, you should use the lowest value here. All others should set the texture resolution to maximum if possible. The higher the value, the more details you will see in the objects.

Screen resolution: Only if you adjust the screen resolution to your monitor will you have the sharpest image. Most screens have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Older screens often require a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels.

Schedule for WOW Classic: When will which content be released?

There was also an official post from Blizzard about the PvP content. Except for the release, no exact dates for the upload of the individual phases have been set to date. How to best prepare for raids

Raids offer the most difficult challenges in Azeroth. Even one misstep by your teammates can turn the battle against you. By preparing for these tough fights, you can support your group in the best possible way and get the most out of your character. Our tips will help you do just that.

  1. Use the services of an enchanter
Enchanters improve your equipment by adding stats to it. Almost any item becomes more effective this way. For example, mages' staffs can gain nine additional intelligence with Two-Handed Weapons - Significant Intelligence. Enchanters in your guild usually provide these services more cheaply.
  2. Vials Give Powerful Boosting Effects in WoW Classic
Alchemists make vials that assist you with particularly powerful effects. The effects last for two hours and last beyond death. Vial of Titans increases health by 1,200. Vial of Distilled Wisdom increases maximum mana by 2,000. Other vials increase spell damage or resistances. Only one vial can be active at a time.
  3. Food and alcohol provide powerful effects
Additionally, you should always have so-called buff food (strengthening food/drinks) in your inventory. Consuming buff food makes you "full" and boosts your attributes. For example, Dirge's wacky Chimaero Chops and Black Rumsey Rum increase stamina, while Grilled Squid increases agility. You can apply one food and one drink to boost each.
  4. Buy the maximum spell ranks
While you don't have much gold until level 50, things look better later in the game. As soon as you have the funds (and at the latest before the first raid), upgrade your spells and learn the maximum ranks available.
  5. This is how you apply buffs to entire groups in WoW Classic
Whether it's Mark of the Wild, Power Word: Soul Strength, or Arcane Intelligence: At the beginning, they can only be applied to individual targets. With 40 party members, this can be annoying. Books like Codex: Prayer of Soul Strength II teach you to use these spells on entire groups. To perform these mass spells, reagents such as High Holy Candle are needed. You can purchase them from the reagent vendors in the capitals.
  6. Weapon reinforcements work in addition to enchantments
Superior Mana Oil, Superior Spell Oil, Compacted Whetstone, and Elemental Whetstone are temporary weapon reinforcements that last 30 minutes. They can be used alongside enchanter buffs, but cannot be used at the same time as Rogue's Poisons or Shaman's Totem of Wind Wrath.
  7. Reinforcements from the Desolate Lands
The repeatable quests Salt of the Skorpok infallible Thoughts, Spiritual Mastery, and Boar's Spirit bring you items that increase your main stat value by 25. You accept them from Blood Mage Drazial and Blood Mage Lynnore. Items that the creatures walking around there drop when they die are needed for the completion. Only one of the boosting items can be active at a time.
  8. Uses various elixirs
Elixir of Mung increases agility, Mage Blood Potion grants mana regeneration, Elixir of Soul Strength increases stamina, Elixir of Superior Defense grants more armor value, and Considerable Troll Blood Potion regenerates life. One of each elixir can be active at a time.
  9. Take primary and secondary combat items with you
Primary combat potions like Elevated Mana Potion and Elevated Healing Potion share the cooldown and can only be used once in two minutes. Secondary items such as Demonic Rune are not affected by this cooldown and can be used in addition.
