Battles, Honey & Fishing: How to find all Pokémon for the Sinnoh Pokédex

Wild Pokémon for the Sinnoh Pokédex can usually be found in tall grass. How to catch them during a battle, you can read in our beginner's guide to Pokémon Shining Pearl & Radiant Diamond. With our Pokédex list you can also find Pokémon that you have to lure with honey or pull out of waters with a fishing rod.

The honey is sold to you by a man in the meadows of Flori for 100 Poké dollars after you have freed him from two bullies. Alternatively, you can find the candy in various places in the game - such as the Eternal Forest or routes 218 and 221. You can smear honey on special trees. You can recognize them by their brownish-golden color.

Return to the tree after about six hours. If you are lucky, a Pokémon will appear. After 24 hours, the lock effect will end and you'll have to add more. On Route 209 you will come to a jetty. Talk to the fisherman and he will give you the professional fishing rod. You can use it at any lake or river to catch water Pokémon for the Sinnoh Pokédex.
