Far Cry 5: Lieutenants - Where you can find the officers

Far Cry 5 was released on March 27, 2018 and is the latest open-world shooter from publisher Ubisoft and another part in the Far Cry universe

This time, you'll be transported to the fictional Hope County in Montana, where the Eden's Gate cult spreads fear and terror. Their leader Joseph Seed and his three siblings are the reason why you pay Hope County a visit at the beginning of the game.

Unfortunately, Joseph Seed and his mentally unfit accomplices prove to be difficult hosts.

Who are the lieutenants in Far Cry 5?

As you become more advanced in Far Cry 5, you will come across abilities that are only available after defeating a "Lieutenant" in the first place.

These "Lieutenants" are also, in simpler terms, the siblings of Joseph Seed, the leader of Eden's Gate. Their names are John, Jacob and Faith. You have to kill these three vassals of Joseph in the course of Far Cry 5 in order to get to the cult leader. But finding them is more difficult than you think.

Besides, the more you irritate them, the more dangerous they become - which is your goal in each area. If you succeed against Eden's Gate, you'll unlock two special events in the regions on the way to becoming a lieutenant. These can be particularly strong enemies or a certain story mission. You can recognize these moments by the intermediate points in the resistance meter.

Jacob Seed, Ruler of the North

The easiest lieutenant to achieve is Jacob Seed. That's because he's the one you'll need the least amount of resistance points to defeat. 10.000, to be exact. The reason for this is that there are fewer activities available in this area in comparison.

You'll earn these points by completing missions and activities in his area, which is located in the north of the game world. The area there is called Whitetail Mountains.

Once you reach the predetermined number of points, you'll get a new story mission in your log, which will let you compete against him

Jacob is assigned to the northern part of the map. So everything you do there, whether it's capturing outposts or completing side missions, the resistance points you earn through them will be posted to his account.

Faith, the Grande Dame of the Southeast

With Faith, it's basically the same thing, except that you need 13,000 points for her area in the southeast for the story mission. Her area is called Henbane River.

For her, too, you'll need to gradually fill up the points account to unlock the story mission where you can take her down.

Faith uses a drug called Bliss to make people compliant. Therefore, watch out for fields with a white-flowered flower in her area. If you get too close to it, the screen will start to blur.

Those who have been exposed to the drug for too long will eventually lose their minds and turn into the so-called "Angels". These are zombie-like enemies that rush towards you and attack in close combat. Therefore, they pose a danger only in measures. Especially since they often have to be shot down more than once.

Faith's story missions also revolve around the drug, so you'll usually go through dream-like sequences there. Even the boss fight at the end takes place in it. Once you've killed Faith, the action shifts to her bunker, where you'll have to stop the Bliss production. There you will also encounter a lot of enemies.

John the psychopath in the southwest

The third of the bunch is John Seed, who has settled in the southwest of Hope County. His land is called Holland Valley, and it's the region that Far Cry 5 advises you to visit first.

There, too, you'll have to generate 13,000 resistance points to finally be allowed to take down John. In order to hunt him down, you'll first have to shoot him out of his plane, with which he wants to escape. This way you'll capture the key to his bunker, where you'll first have to free the prisoners and then blow up the underground hideout.

What are the benefits of hunting the lieutenants?

Sending the three aforementioned minions of Joseph Seed to the eternal hunting grounds is a prerequisite for being able to compete against the cult leader at all.

But Far Cry 5 also rewards you for your hard work with especially strong abilities: Once you have killed at least one lieutenant, you will have the skills for the fourth weapon holster and the last life extension at your disposal
