So that you are not only successful in the event, we have some tricks for you at the start. Check out our guide to the 7 best tips in Hunt: Showdown.

Battle Pass: More rewards for frequent players

As in other multiplayer shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone or Apex Legends, Hunt: Showdown now also offers a Battle Pass. It is divided into a free and a paid version. There you mainly get currencies and skins - the free pass includes the two new weapons: the Sparks Pistol and the Romero 77 Alamo. The former is the pistol version of the Sparks LLR and packs just as much punch. The Alamo works like its basic version, the Romero 77 - but it has a magazine.

In the Battle Pass you can get some rewards.

Event points - how to level up your Battle Pass

To level up your Battle Pass - whether the paid or free version - you collect two types of points: Event Points and Snake Tokens. Event points are earned through various activities (as in previous events). Looting hunters, tracking down bosses, finding clues - all of these will reward you with varying amounts of Event Points.

  • Bounty extracted: 20 points
  • Hunter looted: 12 points
  • Boss killed: 10 points
  • Clue picked up: 8 points
  • Snake nest emptied: 4 points
  • Snake nestdestroyed: 2 points

On the left below the boss icon you will see your event points and Snake Tokens. At the bottom left is the display for the bonus as well as the detection range.

What do Snake Tokens do in the Hunt: Showdown event?

At the same time you can get Snake Tokens in the Bayou. These are displayed next to the event points as a small golden marker. You can sacrifice the Snake Tokens at altars (they look like big ovens) and get double the amount of event points: If you sacrifice six Snake Tokens, you will receive twelve Event Points. The altars are only found in boss areas, so watch out for enemy hunters.

If you shoot down an enemy hunter, you can steal his Snake Tokens by looting him. This works the other way around as well. You can get Snake Tokens in the following ways:

  • Snake Nest emptied: 3 Snake Tokens
  • Boss killed: 8 Snake Tokens
  • Enemy fighter looted: All Snake Tokens of the enemy

How do I farm Event Points and Snake Tokens?

To level up your Battle Pass in Hunt: Showdown as quickly as possible, you should efficiently farm Event Points and Snake Tokens. This starts with the choice of your hunter. Different hunters grant you a bonus on the points yield as well as on the detection range of snake nests:

  • The Night Seer
  • The Witch Hunter
  • The Prescient
  • Hail Mary

The small green icon shows you which Hunter will give you bonus event points.

Once you have chosen your hunter, play a few rounds until you have ten trait points. Then grab the trait "Signer". This will increase your event points by ten percent. Also pack "Snake" - with it you can deliver Snake Tokens at a distance.

In addition, you can increase your event points with a contract, which you can either get through the Battle Pass or buy for 300 Blood Tokens. The contract grants you a 50 percent increase in event points, as well as a 20-meter increase in event item detection range for two hours.

The contract boosts your event points gained and the range at which you can detect snakes.

In Match: Farming through PvE Activities

Once you've started a match, move quickly to the first area and secure the first clue. Along the way, keep activating Shadow View and looking around - snake nests can spawn anywhere on the map. You can recognize them in the shadow view by their white glow. If you have good ears, you can also recognize the snakes by the hissing sound.

To get as many event points as possible, first focus on collecting clues and snake nests and then head to the boss. You can now wait and see if there are enemy hunters in the area and relieve them of their Snake Tokens - but this method is very risky.

Enemy hunters promise a lot of Event Points and Snake Tokens, but you always run the risk of losing all your points. For example, we had collected over 120 event points in one round and then met a team that was clearly superior to us and bang - all the points were gone.

Ingeneral, to farm as efficiently as possible, keep a low profile and avoid contact with enemy fighters. The best way to get event points is through PvE opportunities like snake nests, clues or bosses.
