Lara Croft

Everyone has probably heard of Lara Croft. The iconic tomb raider made her debut in 1996 in the first Tomb Raider game. This was followed not only by numerous sequels, but also by three film adaptations, an appearance in the Doctors music video for "Men are Pigs" and numerous comics and books.

In the games, Lara Croft is usually on the move in ancient tombs to recover all kinds of treasures. In the process, she has to deal with wild animals and the secret organization Trinity, which has not been able to stop her so far. We are curious to see what adventures await Lara Croft after the last tombs in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Aloy

Game: Horizon Zero Dawn

In the open-world adventure Horizon Zero Dawn, you can expect a colorful end-time world that is teeming with wild robo-dinos, the so-called machines. At the center of the story, however, is Aloy, who is being raised by her outcast foster father. Since childhood, Aloy has been an excellent archer and doesn't shy away from even the biggest machines.

In the course of the game you'll discover the secret of your own origin and solve the mystery surrounding the collapse of human civilization. In addition, you'll constantly expand your arsenal of abilities and weapons, with which you'll take on the house-sized dino-robots.

Chloe Frazer & Nadine Ross

Games: Uncharted 2-4, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Chloe and Nadine are probably already familiar to you from the Uncharted series with Nathan Drake. But it wasn't until Uncharted: Lost Legacy that they got their own adventure. The two become partners rather involuntarily in the search for the artifact of the deity Ganesha.

This leads to an incredible dynamic between the two over the course of the game. The dialogues are among the highlights of the game. We hope that this wasn't the last game starring the two of them.

Alyx Vance

Games: Half-Life 2 including Episode 1 & 2, Half-Life: Alyx

Alyx Vance made her first appearance in Half-Life 2. She is the leader of the Resistance and assists protagonist Gordon Freeman throughout the game in the fight against Combine domination. Without Alyx's help, Gordon would be completely lost. She saves him from a dicey situation more than once.

In the VR-exclusive Half-Life: Alyx, you take on the role of Alyx yourself and fight against the alien Combine. The detailed interaction with the environment is particularly striking, allowing you to solve puzzles in completely new ways.

Clementine

Games: The Walking Dead series from Telltale

Arguably one of the most blatant character developments in a video game Clementine goes through in The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game Series. Separated from her parents, little Clementine is taken in by Lee at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.

What follows are a series of events that no adult, and certainly no young child, should have to go through. Murder, manslaughter and cannibalism are just some of the issues that Clementine faces in the first season of the series alone. As a result, Clementine doesn't have time to remain a child; she outgrows herself and quickly acts more mature than most of the adults around her.

The story of Clementine is both depressing and impressive and should not be missed by anyone.

Cassandra

Game: Assassin's Creed Odyssey

In Assassin's Creed Odyssey, you have the choice at the beginning whether you want to play the game with Cassandra or her brother Alexios. In the official book, however, Kassandra alone is the canonical heroine. She is the granddaughter of the Spartan warrior Leonidas, who bequeathed her the legendary Spear of Leonidas. We'll also tell you what other legendary weapons Assassin's Creed Odyssey has to offer.

The game takes you to a huge open world in ancient Greece. There, Cassandra can expect monsters from Greek mythology, battles on foot, on horseback and by ship, numerous lovers, side quests and an extensive dialog system. Ellie

Games: The Last of Us, Left Behind DLC, The Last of Us 2

Ellie and Joel 's story is one of the best you'll experience on the PlayStation 4. In a world ravaged by a mutated parasite, you try to survive. Like Clementine, Ellie has to grow up faster than she would like.

While in the first The Last of Us you only briefly slip into the role of Ellie, the DLC Left Behind revolves exclusively around the tragic story of Ellie and her friend Riley. The Last of Us 2 takes place a few years after the first part and once again lets you slip into the skin of Ellie, who has grown up in the meantime.
