Earn a lot of XP in PvP

There is an easy way to get a lot of XP quickly. However, for this you should be a little experienced and have your finger on the trigger. In the various PvP modes, you can earn a whole bunch of experience when you win. Then you'll quickly level up and be able to take on even better opponents - a cycle that will earn you more and more experience points.

You'll get extra XP if you keep an eye not only on the enemies, but also on the mission objectives that need to be completed extra. Of course, you'll also get experience points for just participating in (or winning) a match.

Especially in Hostile Territoy mode, you'll collect XP quickly if you don't despise the extra tasks. And taking care of your teammates should be daily bread for experienced multiplayer players, right? If you also capture the enemy territories and keep them for a longer period of time, this also has a positive effect on the XP.

Play the missions multiple times

Pretty much every video game shows you how it's done: When you complete missions, you'll get a lot of experience points that help you level up. Red Dead Online has the advantage that the main missions and side quests can be played over and over again. This gives you the possibility to get a lot of XP again. It's entirely up to you whether you want to complete the tasks alone, take friends along on the tour, or team up with strangers. .

Many of the missions have golden challenges that are optional to complete. If you don't complete them, the task is still done. So don't worry. But if you want a decent XP boost, we can only recommend that you conscientiously work through everything here.

Other challenges

In addition to the main story and the side missions, you have the opportunity to complete various challenges. They can be found in various places and are listed as awards in the menu. There are always different gradations of them, which also bring different amounts of XP.

Sometimes you will be asked to hunt animals and skin them. If that's too brutal for you and you'd rather use your talent economically, then just trade items! Buy or sell them cleverly to get some benefit from them.

The challenges here and there also expect you to kill teammates with a certain weapon or hunt down an NPC. Just let yourself be surprised by what RDO wants you to do, complete the mostly short tasks and farm XP to level up.

Master the gameplay

XP can be earned with many actions in Red Dead Online. Sometimes you'll get more experience points, sometimes less. However, you should be aware that somehow it always progresses. The game rewards you for doing particularly tricky things.

For example, you can go hunting and aim as accurately as possible to load a head hit. Use a weapon that is difficult to handle and it will rain experience for your cowboy. An example of this is the bow - it's one of the more difficult weapons to kill an animal with a single shot to the head. But as always, the same applies here: Practice makes perfect!

Earning Other XP

Red Dead Online wants you to spend as much time as possible in the virtual Wild West. That's why there are numerous things available to keep you busy. How good that they all give you a bit of XP as well!

Also useful for hunting: the Dead Eye

For example, how about spending more time with your four-legged friend? If you reach the highest level of attachment to your horse, you'll get 500 XP.

If you prefer to fight, there are still gang camps scattered all over the map. They appear again and again, giving you the opportunity to generate XP multiple times.

If you want to practice a bit with the bow to become more confident and earn a lot of XP from a headshot, you can improve your aiming accuracy on birds. You get 10 experience points per kill.

What do you get for leveling up?

A higher rank in Red Dead Online offers numerous benefits to advance in the world. In addition to unlocking different pieces of clothing, you'll also get special ammunition to go after the AI or fellow players in the virtual world. Among other things, it can also be used in the new weapons that are also available when you level up.

Depending on which rank you reach next, passive advantages will make your life as a cowboy easier. These include, for example, the ability cards that are available when you reach level 10, 20 and 40.
