How do I unlock Bayek in Assassin's Creed Odyssey?

To ship Bayek from Egypt to Greece, you don't need any big in-game achievements, just a few units for the Ubisoft Club. Like Evie, we can unlock the Egyptian there for 40 units in the rewards.

Then the Medjay appears in the in-game store under the "Owned" tab, and a message also pops up in the game itself that Bayek is now available as a crew member for the Adrasteia.

Like Evie, he will then be waiting in the ship's menu to be used as a crew member. He will provide you with the following bonuses for the Adrasteia:

What should I do if Bayek still doesn't show up?

Even though Bayek has been unlocked in the Ubisoft Club and is shown as "In Possession" in the game, players complain on the online forum Reddit that he is still not available for the Adrasteia crew. We have this problem as well.

On Reddit, the solution is that the family history has to be finished. This triggers something in the game, which makes the NPCs purchased in the Ubisoft Club available in the game.

For Evie also seems to have this problem, whereas she was directly available for us when we got access to the ship. At least for Evie, Ubisoft is already working on a solution to the problem - so it can be assumed that this will also apply to Bayek.
