10 mod recommendations for Dark Souls 3

In addition to the Cinders mod, there are numerous other mods, the best of which we would like to introduce to you here.

First Person Cam

This Dark Souls 3 mod lets you experience the role-playing game from a first-person perspective instead of a third-person one and thus provides a very special flair - and above all, a completely new challenge. Because the already high level of difficulty of the role-playing game is additionally increased by the new camera perspective.

Aggression Mod

The Aggression Mod increases the difficulty level of Dark Souls 3. Enemies notice you earlier and follow you longer. Accordingly, you should proceed with caution when exploring the dungeons.

Challenge Mods

A whopping eleven mods are included in the Challenge Mod pack. These include the aforementioned First Person Cam and the Aggression mod. However, the following mods are also included, among others:

  • Third Person Shooter Cam: New camera perspective in the style of shooters like Resident Evil 4.
  • Topdown Cam: New camera perspective from above, based on classics like Zelda.
  • Barrel Souls: Enemies have the characteristics of chameleons.
  • Size/Speed/Lighting Modifier: Lets you change character sizes, character and enemy speeds, and game brightness.
  • NPC Stat Modifier: Lets you change enemy strengths.

StraySouls

For the true masochists among you, there is the StraySouls mod. This leaves the appearance and combat behavior of the opponents to chance. Thus, you can forget the famous trial-and-error principle of the Dark Souls series. In addition, several enemies can spawn in one place.

But that's not all: Thanks to the Stray Souls module, it's even possible for boss enemies to appear in the middle of the levels - even in the early stages of the game. In addition, you can spawn up to nine times more enemies per setting. The ultimate challenge for every Dark Souls veteran.

Item Randomizer

The Item Randomizer mod also makes for a unique gaming experience by randomizing the items in Dark Souls 3. For example, you might get a lame sword after fighting a boss enemy, but get a powerful weapon when defeating a weak enemy. Everything is left to chance.

Cinematic FX Lexar's

Admittedly: Dark Souls 3's staging is already cinematic by design. However, the Cinematic FX Lexar's mod takes it to the next level and makes various effects in the game much more accentuated. It also emphasizes colors more, giving Dark Souls 3 a real glossy look.

Enable Classic Poise

There was a big outcry after the release of Dark Souls 3 in 2016, because From Software had clearly relegated the Poise mechanic, which had let you continue attacks you had started in the previous Dark Souls parts, to the background. With the Enable Classic Poise mod, you return to the roots of the Dark Souls series and have full access to the old Poise mechanics.

By the way, the popular poise mechanic is already included in the Cinders mod. So you only need to install one mod.

Draw Distance Increased - Ultimate

Are you also annoyed by unsightly pop-ups in Dark Souls 3? That's over now, because the Draw Distance Increased - Ultimate mod has taken care of that the graphics of the action role-playinggame have been spiced up once again. Thus, even objects that are further away can be seen early on and don't just appear shortly before you reach them.

Fog Gate Randomizer

This randomizer mod creates a lot of excitement when entering the Fog Gates in Dark Souls 3, because you never know where you will end up on the other side. Thanks to the mod, the Fog Gates teleport you to any level or directly to a random boss fight. The combination with the other Ramdomizer mods is really fun and makes Dark Souls 3 more challenging than ever.

iGP11 & Adidas Tracksuit Mod

The Dark Souls 3 mod iGP11 allows you to change all textures and visual effects in the role-playing game. Accordingly, you need this mod to run some graphics mods. For example, the iconic Adidas tracksuit mod, which lets your character run around in Dark Souls 3 in a stylish Adidas jumper, is based on the iGP11 mod.
