How do I install mods?

First of all download the modmanagerFluffyManager 5000. Unpack the Fluffly Manager in a place of your choice. Open the manager and select Resident Evil 3 Remake in the "Choose game" section.

By the way, Fluffy Manager 5000 also works with Resident Evil 2 Remake (). In our Resident Evil 2 Mod Guide we present you the best mods for Resident Evil 2!

In the next step press "Define Game path" and select the re3.exe file in the Resident Evil 3 folder under "SteamLibrary/steamapps/common". Then open the folder "Games/RE3R" in the mod manager. Here you will find the "Mods" folder, where you will copy all downloaded mods from now on.

Return to the Fluffy Manager and select the mods you want to activate under "Mod List" before you start the game.

You can activate multiple mods at the same time, but not all mods will work together. You'll have to see for yourself which mods work together.

Natural colors: RE3 Immersion Reshade

RE3 Immersion Reshade is one of the most popular mods of Resident Evil 2. This variant is adapted to Resident Evil 3 Remake.

The Immersion Reshade removes the yellow filter for a more natural look. As a result, the colors appear more vivid and the contrast between light and shadow is even more intense. You can get a first impression in the video.

In addition, the Immersion Reshade introduces a real HDR effect that makes the game even prettier. The performance is also supposed to be improved by the mod, according to the creator. There are four versions, each with different presets. The developer recommends the "Normal RE3 Immersion Reshade" variant for the best experience.

Which mods give the game a more classic look?

At this point we would like to introduce you to three small mods. They are Jill's classic look, Carlo's classic costume, and the interface and inventory from the original Resident Evil 3. The mods bring back old familiar designs to the game and should therefore be especially appealing to veterans of the original.

The Classic Inventory mod turns the inventory slots blue and gives the health meter a traditional look. Jill's definitive Classic Cost ume is for you if you find the modernized Classic Costume in the main game too much of a departure from the original.

Carlos Oliveira's Classic Costume.

The Classic Carlos Reskin gives Carlos back his green UBCS uniform and works with both the new Carlos (with the fuzzy hair) and the light-haired Carlos. If you sorely miss the old designs, these mods are definitely for you!

How can I experience Resident Evil 3 from the first-person perspective?

The first-person perspective has enjoyed great popularity among new and old fans since Resident Evil 7 (). Resident Evil 7 proved that the survival horror formula works excellently in first-person. Many even find that the first-person perspective provides more horror atmosphere, since you are directly involved in the action.

So it's no wonder that there have already been countless calls for an optional first-person mode for the two remakes. The First-Person Framework fulfills this wish.

Download the RE3 zip file and extract the file "dinput8.dll" into your Resident Evil 3 Steamapps folder. The launcher will open automatically in the game. You can then turn the first-person perspective on and off in the running game.

The first-person perspective mod lets you dive deeper into the world of Resident Evil. No matter if you encounter zombies, hunters or the nemesis - in the first-person perspective, every confrontation becomes a nerve-wracking experience.

Variety on every playthrough: RE3 Randomizer

You love it when a video game is unpredictable to a certain degree? Then RE3 Randomizer is something for you! The mod brings random elements into the game, which are generated anew on each run.

RE3 Randomizer brings the following changes to the game:

  • Contents in wooden crates are randomly generated.
  • Herb mixes are randomized - mixing herbs can generate any healing item.
  • The result of gunpowder mix es is random-based - sometimes you won't get ammo, but other items.
  • The locations of weapons are random.
  • Locations and quantity of environmental items (ammo and healing items) are randomly generated.

If you're up for a real challenge, then you should definitely give the Randomizer mod a chance. With it, every playthrough is guaranteed to hold new surprises!
