Forza Horizon 4: What are Barn Finds & how many are there?

Barn finds have existed in previous editions of Forza Horizon. These are rare cars that rot away in barns - until you track them down, make them fit again and add them to your fleet!

There are 15 barn finds in Forza Horizon 4. During the course of the game, you will gradually receive tips on where to find them. However, they only give you a rough idea of where you can find a car. Our hints, on the other hand, show you the exact locations of all secret cars. Important: In order to be able to open a secret, you must first receive the appropriate hint in the game!

The seasons play a special role in the search for barns in Forza Horizon 4: Some barns will only open if you visit them in a certain season. So either complete the treasure hunt in the prologue, where you'll go through an entire year once, or be prepared for some waiting time: The seasons in Forza Horizon 4 change weekly.

By the way, once you've discovered one of the secret cars, it first has to be freshened up and repaired. Just wait a while. At some point you'll get a call and can pick up the restored barn find . All you have to do is switch to the menu and select "Barn Find" in your fleet.

Forza Horizon 4: All barn finds & their locations

The order in which you get tips for the barn finds in Forza Horizon 4 and open the barns is mostly random. We list the barn finds alphabetically here.

Aston Martin DB4 Zagato (Autumn only)

In the southeast of the Horizon festival area, there are fields where you can discover the barn with the Aston Martin DB4 Zagato. But pay attention to the season: only in autumn you can drive the sports car out of the garage.

Audi Sport Quattro

Northeast of the Horizon festival site is the Derwent Reservoir. Call up the map and mark the spot directly below the associated lettering - there you will find this edgy dream car in red.

Bentley Blower

You'll get the clue to the Bentley Blower as a bonus for a not so cheap property: You'll have to pay 10 million credits for Bamburgh Castle to be allowed near the barn. You can collect it by following the coastal road south from your new castle and then turning right onto the field inland behind the forest on the right.

Ford GT 40 MKI (spring only)

You can only get the Ford GT40 MKI in spring. The place to find it is the small forest near Moorhead Wind Farm. Go to the point just above the first O of the word "Moorhead" on the map and get the car!

Ford Escort RS Turbo

Mountaineers are needed here: You get this barn find on the mountain Glen Rannoch. The barn with the Ford Escort RS Turbo is located near a large radar antenna.

Jaguar E-Type S1

This Jaguar is close to the water: Go to the small lake that lies between the Horizon festival area and Tarn Hows. Drive south along the small road on the eastern shore and then continue west parallel to the southern shore. When the road bends to the south, turn northwest into the woods instead. Here you will find the barn.

Jaguar XJ220

The second Jaguar in the bunch. You can pick up this barn find in the large meadow east of Ambleside. At the bend in the main road, turn northwest into the field and head for the trees. The barn is hidden between them.

Land Rover Range Rover (winter only)

Heavy equipment for the cold season: You can only get the Range Rover in winter - and only if you venture onto the ice of the lake Derwent Water! Drive over the frozen surface to the island in the middle. To the south of it is the barn.

Lotus Elise G1

Look on the map for the sign indicating Slate Quarry. Drive to the location just south of the lower right corner of the sign to get the Lotus Elise G1 into your garage.

MG MGB GT

For this barn find, you'll need to venture into the bog. More specifically, into the Astmoor area, which is east of Mudkickers Adventure Park. On the border between green meadow and brown moorland you will find the barn with the MG MGB GT.

Mini Cooper S

Drive to the large lake Derwent Water and head to its southwestern tip. Just south of the small patch of woodland that lies there between water, meadow and the mountains to the west, you can collect this iconic British small car.

Peel P50 (summer only)

A car can hardly get any smaller than this "hugger"! Get the three-wheeled Peel P50 in Forza Horizon 4 by combing the wooded area between Ashbrook and Uffington White Horse. The barn is located in the western part of the grove. Make sure that you undertake the search in the summer.

Subaru Impreza 22b

Off to the woods! Take a good look at the course of the dirt roads through Lakehurst Forest: To the south of the forest area, two dashed trails cross on the map and become one. Southwest of this intersection, the Subaru Impreza 22b is parked in its garage.

Triumph Spitfire

Look for Glenn Rannoch on the map, then look south of it for the "Express Railyard" sign. It points to an old train station where you can find the Triumph Spitfire. Drive along the outside of the station area - you'll find the barn on the southeast side. Or you can just drive over the area and crash through the fence into the surrounding forest.

TVR Cerbera

Drive to the runway of Greendale Airstrip and look for a farm slightly southeast of it. Here is the barn find garage where the TVR Cerbera is hiding.
