Campaign playtime: how many acts does Ghost of Tsushima have?

Ghost of Tsushima's story campaign unfolds over three acts, each of which takes you to a different area. If you focus on this part of the game, you can play through the game in a good 20 hours. You'll experience the complete journey of the samurai Jin and his fight against the Mongol invaders, but you'll leave quite a few side activities by the wayside. If that doesn't bother you, you'll get a brisk adventure. If you want to spend more time on the Japanese island, that's no problem either.

The island of Tsushima has a lot to offer.

How many hours of gameplay does Ghost of Tsushima have, including side quests?

Ghost of Tsushima offers you a whole series of optional side quests in which you can help the inhabitants of Tsushima and complete small tasks. If you occasionally get involved in such a quest and then return to the main story, you should end up with a game time of about 40 hours.

If you take on all 61 side quests in addition to the campaign, you can expect a good 50 to 60 hours of gameplay. You'll also experience the most extensive expeditions through the beautiful landscape of the open-world game. You'll also automatically fulfill the requirements for most of the game's trophies, so you'll be able to decorate your PSN account with Platinum at the end.

And if you don't want to leave at all: Follow the foxes that will lead you to secrets. Collect all the collectibles. Find all the shrines and artifacts. Bathe in hot springs. Or start a new game right away. In short: Enjoy the game world at your own pace - then you'll still get something out of Ghost of Tsushima beyond the 60-hour mark.

The long arm of carnage: Ghost of Tsushima's multiplayer mode

If you're in the mood for some socializing after the campaign around lone warrior Jin, hit Ghost of Tsushima's Legends multiplayer. As one of four warrior classes, you can draw the katana together with friends or strangers and decimate enemy hordes. In the process, you level up your character and get better loot, which you can then use against even more powerful opponents. As usual for multiplayer modes, the playtime here is almost unlimited. Just stop when you get bored - depending on the type of player, it can take several dozen hours of play.

Seeing game time in Ghost of Tsushima - is that possible?

You don't know exactly how many hours you have already spent on Tsushima, but you would like to know? Unfortunately, if you play Ghost of Tsushima on a PS4, you can't easily check this directly on the console: The Playstation 4 unfortunately doesn't show you this important data point - neither for Ghost of Tsushima, nor for other games.

The website PS-Timetracker provides a workaroundthere you can sign up and then add a bot to your friends list. Afterwards, you can check the website to see how much game time you've spent playing each of your games. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Follow the black smoke and free the inhabitants of Tsushima from the Mongols.

On the other hand, if you play Ghost of Tsushima via backwards compatibility on a PS5, you can easily view the game time. Log into the PSN, go to the user profile in the upper right corner of the main menu, select "Profile" and then "Games" in the next screen. Here you can now see the playing time of the games you've played with this account.
