Trainers, pay attention! Did you know that there are even more events in Pokémon GO besides the monthly Community Day? The app for your smartphone () from Niantic organizes smaller and larger opportunities to collect extra stardust and other bonuses almost non-stop. Longer tasks and correspondingly great rewards are available in the field research.

Pokémon GO - Lunar New Year 2020

In many Asian countries, New Year's Eve is celebrated a little later. In keeping with the Lunar New Year, Niantic also wants to sweeten the start of the new year with an event in Pokémon GO. Everything revolves around red Pokémon. You can also expect a lucky bonus and a brand new Pokémon.

  • When: 24.01.2020 - 03.02.2020

During the event period, significantly more red Pokémon will appear in your environment. These include Vulpix, Glutexo, Voltobal, Tarnpignon, Magmar, Karpador, Flamara, Schneckmag, Waumpel, Krebscorps, Zirpurze, and Parasek. Another special feature: if you're lucky, you'll meet a Shiny Garados! During the Lunar New Year celebrations, Garados will appear in the parks and streets of your city.

It's worth shooting many PokéStops during the event. They will provide you with 7 KM eggs, which, if you're lucky, will contain the new Pokémon Flampion. In addition, many red Pokémon hatch from them.

Luck is a good keyword, because your interactions with friends are also rewarded. If you trade a lot with them, the probability of getting a lucky Pokémon increases. You'll also become lucky friends faster and may get a special treat from gifts.

Pokémon Spotlight Hours in April 2020

In addition to Community Day and other extras in Pokémon GO, Niantic has introduced Spotlight Hours. For exactly one hour every week in April, there will be a mini-event where you can dust off some bonuses.

  • When: Tuesday, April 28, 2020, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m

  • What bonuses: Double XP for evolving Pokémon
